  1. Hello all, I am looking to upgrade my computer in the coming weeks Stole this format from reddit, so if you don't mind the text What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using. This will primarily be a gaming computer....most AAA titles including Apex Legends, the new Modern Warfare, Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo Infinite next year What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes? $1000-$1200? When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy. The next few weeks as the new super cards become available. Nervous about the Destiny 2 issues with Ryzen but it’s not that big of a deal What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc) CPU (I can't decide between Ryzen 3600 (already ordered by accident) or the 3700 or even just sticking with intel which I have a currently outdated i5 6500 I would also need a new Motherboard and Memory as well, please Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location? Cincinnati, Ohio If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated I already have an Acer 27 inch LED 144hz 1440p monitor which I just bought last weekend. I have a mouse and keyboard already and won’t need an upgrade I also have a Corsair 650 PSU and a Samsung SSD and a Harddrive. Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU? No / Maybe? Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc) Not really sure. Just looking for a 1440p 100 FPS+ gaming rig that can possibly do VR in the future? Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components? Mid-tower, but already purchased an NZXT Case Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference? No Extra info or particulars: My budget is somewhat flexible for sure. But I’m just so torn on the major parts I just cannot decide between the CPU and GPU and It’s bothering the heck out of me. Stuck between a RTX 2070 Super or an RTX 2080 Super Also stuck between an i5-9700k or the new Ryzen 3600 or 3700. And having issues choosing a motherboard I would love any suggestions advice on the matter because it’s driving me nuts. I would also love to be able to play Apex in 1440p with a really beneficial frame rate Thank you for reading and I would appreciate any help or suggestions
  2. Well, I currently I have a 1440p monitor. I've been playing Destiny 2 with an ok framerate
  3. Another lame question but would the 3600 cpu support the 2080 super?
  4. Yes I did. Glad to switch to AMD as well. Will I need to find out the product key for windows 10 before I move parts to the new build? Kinda dissapointed 2070s's are sold out
  5. I posted it. Thank you both for your help btw. Much appreciated. I went ahead and bought the B450 Tomahawk MB for a few bucks more. Any idea when the 2070s will be back in stock?
  6. Unfortunately, my box was thrown away after a basement flood back in 2016.
  7. So would you recommend me buying different RAM? Or should I be ok with my current sticks? This is all spanish to me lol Damn. I totally forgot most 2070 Super's are sold out for the most part
  8. Yeah two sticks. 16gb. I can always buy more I suppose.
  9. What motherboard, CPU combo would you recommend? Is the DDR4 ram enough as well?
  10. I figured. What processor would you recommend? Also is my Motherboard good enough you think? Sorry for the questions. Pretty uninformed and new to all of this
  11. Hello all. I've been keeping an eye on the new RTX cards as they have peaked my interest for sure. I recently got a new job and have been wanting to upgrade my computer. I know these posts are probably tiresome for this forum, but alas, I'd appreciate some help! Current Specs GPU: GTX 1060 6gb Processor: i5-6500 @ 3.20 ghz Ram: 16gb DDR4 PSU: 650w SSD: Samsung HDD Motherboard: ASRock Z170 Extreme4 Was looking at the RTX 2070 super, but I'm guessing it's probably smart to just do a full upgrade?
