I am looking for a full build, case and all for right around $800. Not picky about parts or brand, and it will only really be used for gaming. He is looking to play most games, but nothing too crazy (cod, cs, Minecraft, r6, ext.), and wanting to play on decent settings. Only note: he would like an rtx card, though it is not necessary.

Just building them a PC, they can get those on their own.

My friend asked my to put a list of parts together for a gaming PC. His price range is around 1k. He wants to be able to play most if not all games without an issue, as well as have support for anything else he would need to do productivity wise (ie. video editing, and other minimal software use). I was going to build him an Intel and nvidia based build because that is what I am familiar with. If anyone has some other advice or a build that would be great. BTW he has nothing so it is a full build.

It's not a requirement if you use older versions of the software, but I see where you are coming from. I do a lot of editing so it is kinda a must.

Not a huge fan of noise, I don't usually game with noise canceling headphones, also a bit out of my price range. All the super cards I have found have been way more then that, can you link it?

I originally was planning on getting this card. After a little more research I am still leaning towards it but am not sure if there are any moderately better ones at the same price range (mainly just brand). I looked into the 2060 super and the 2070 but the price increase was to significant for the small performance increase.

Yes, I did buy the cooler but thanks for the help with the mb. Follow up question; would I be able to overclock better on the prime in the future following an upgrade on the cooler, or would it not be worth it?

Ya, my previous build was a budget build but I had an i7 due to editing and rendering. Thats why I'm upgrading like all of my parts.

I already have the processor thats the issue. Like the only part I'm not upgrading.
