  1. Hmm Well I'm coming from intel and that sounds odd but coretemp still shows the CPU as AMD Processor BE and not a 3700x and realtemp wont even start and just says this cpu is not supported. Thanks for telling me I would have been going around in circles with this.
  2. Well I just updated the bios to 7C02v19 that I didn't even know came out last week because its list wrong on the MSI site as 7C02v18 and I still cant see my core temps.
  3. I've got my 3200mhz overclocked to 3600mhz so you was right ?
  4. What tool are you using too see cpu temps ? I can see the overall temp but core temp and other tools arnt showing the core temps don't know if the tools arnt updated to work with the cpu yet or if I've got a problem on my end. My idle temp is about the same at 45C-50c I'm with the stock cooler but I wasn't too bothered as I'll be sticking it in my water loop when I got the plate I need for the cpu block, what speed did you manage to get your ram to run at also I was having super long post times because CSM was on after I switched to UEFI it posted much quicker so you might want to make sure its off too. Edit: The setting for the UEFI is on the advanced\windows OS configuration you might not be having the same issue as me but my post was taken a life time it would just turn my display on and off until it finally showed post
  5. Makes me wonder what else might be wrong with the bios ?
  6. That hunt didn't take long not many settings doesnt look like it, Would like to hear from other 3700x users if the temp software just isnt fully capable yet or if something funky is going on for me.
  7. Yeah all looks fine there I'm new to AMD does the ryzen-master show core temps only seeing cpu temp ty.
  8. Like the title says I've tried a bunch of tools and none them work I normally use core temp but its showing only 4 of the cores and in the task bar only and the rest say 0 its also showing the model as AMD Processor BE I've done a fresh install of windows 10 Edit also heroes of the storm is poping up with a cpu warning saying its throttling the cpu because its too hot/not on high performance? the overall temp of the cpu seems fine tho and windows is set to high performance
  9. even if he was unable to get 3600mhz @ c16 wouldn't he have some room to lower his timings maybe run them at 3200 c14 or 3400 c15?
  10. well Jurrunio said " Tomahawk doesn't have anything so bad that suggests it can't do 3600MHz, put it this way. Supposedly older boards that aren't the really cheap ones are all held back by the CPU's memory controller." So maybe but if you live in the UK you can just send that ram back if you did go for a b450.
  11. I don't know about you but I decided to get 3200mhz c14 with a b450 Tomahawk 3700x. I Don't think it does the b450 carbon has the flashback and it seems they removed it for the x470 carbon, the B450 carbon might still be worth a look tho its cheaper too.
  12. Again I might be wrong here but I'm seeing people say the b450 Gaming Pro Carbon has flashback but not the x470
  13. Oh sorry i thought was was talking about the x470 gaming pro carbon
  14. If money is no issue which mobo between the two would you pair with a 3700x I'm learning to the tomahawk its only £89ish and the gaming pro carbon is £170ish
  15. I'm getting mixed messages online about the MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon having bios flash-back we sure it has it ?
