  1. Sorry for the repost, scrolled down a few pages and didn't see anything on it... I can remove if it's that much of an issue
  2. YouTube finally rolled out full blown 60fps video support to all users today!!! Hurray for YouTube and the PC Master Race! Examples: (More to Come) Notes: Currently restricted to Chrome and IE11 (Will likely soon work with all browsers with HTML5 Support) Must Play in HD (720p or 1080p for 60 fps support) No backwards compatibility with videos previously uploaded in 60fps
  3. I love the look of the Omega and that they're supporting overclockers like they are. The whole 900 series is just beastly in what it can push out with the right settings.
  4. Zotac GTX 970 Amp! OMEGA edition has them for OC purposes. Highly doubt it really needs it unless you're doing some serious overclocking (Probably on liquid cooling which isn't even available for the 970) but whatever I guess I don't even know where you would find it TBH, all I can find is the regular Zotac 970 with 2x6 pins. Also Gigabyte has 2x8 but at this point there really isn't much use in it since you won't use that kind of power draw.
  5. As for the G1 cooler, it's nice but I can't justify an extra $100 for an extra 3-5 fps and 5-6 degrees cooler temps. I'm sure it'll beat out my Radeon 7870 that idles at 50 and gets into the mid-high 70s during load. On top of that I barely have room for the 9.5 inch 7870 in my case, I doubt I'd even be able to fit that massive Windforce cooler inside without doing some serious case cutting since the hard drive cages are riveted in. I'm more debating between waiting for the STRIX model or buying the Zotac model as soon as I can, I'm more of a noise person than an overclocker though and have to wait 4 business days for my money to go into my bank account so I may as well wait to see the situation on Tuesday. Thanks for the help guys
  6. Real_PhillBert I've been here for a while, just not a frequent poster Thanks for the recommendation on following the post though.
  7. So currently the Zotac GTX 970 is the only 970 I can find ready to ship right now and is on sale at shopRBC for $363. Can anyone with experience with the company or card tell me if I should buy it right now since I can't find any good reviews and it seems to be $20 less than even the EVGA card that is having the cooling issues. I like that it comes in a metal shroud but want to know if they are reliable. Thanks!
  8. Congrats Linus and team! You've been my go to channel for basically everything tech, from building my first PC just over a year ago when I started making LinusTechTips videos part of my daily routine to learning about things on the TechQuickie channel in a language that actually makes sense. I'm not much of a vocal person but I can't thank you enough for the dedication and effort you put into making the quality videos that you do. Keep up the great work, live long and prosper. I'll be there every step of the way!
  9. I dunno, I tried it for a while and it felt like it was always pestering me for more money. It's a good racing game but I like to pay for games in full up front and maybe get a DLC or two if I like it
  10. The battery and customizability on the camera with the 120fps or 4k make it really cool! The positioning of the home button is also sweet. dbrand's skins are awesome!

  12. Asus's Alienware although not nearly as ripoff-y, has pretty good parts in the ROG Laptops with a slight premium for the branding. Also on high end Asus mobos, most notibly the Maximus line.
  13. Controllers are always better than kb/m for racing games. Nothing however beats a proper wheel and petals. If only I had the money to get one  DiRT 3 is good if you like rally (I have 80hrs in it) (GFWL warning, can't buy DLC, must be online to save) Asetto Corsa if you like sims Project CARS comes out in November for Sims and Pretty games (Finally I'll never have to play Forza again!) iRacing if you're into hardcore competitive sims and got $ (Subscription service) NFS is good but Rivals is locked to 30fps and IMO NFS hasn't been very good since Criterion took over Next Car Game if you like Physics games with racing thrown in (EARLY ACCESS) I'd recommend staying away from RaceRoom Expierience, very Micro Transaction-ey since it's free on Steam Those are just the ones that immediately come to mind. There are also tons of older racing games that have modding communities that have updated textures if you want a burst of nostalgia.
  14. TotalBiscuit videos are always accepted here, PCMR 4 lyfe
  15. Controls: Horrible defaults but highly customizeable, I was very satisfied after some tweaking Specs/Preformance: Radeon HD 7870 (GTX 760ish) held 60fps fine on Medium/High. No way in hell would it take ultra though. Many weird glitches occured at 60 but I'd hope they fix them before release (coughcoughBF4coughcough) Map: Good, big but not as big as they claimed (Very likely could change slightly in final release) Feels like a slightly less arcade-y NFS (Not Criterion NFS, good ol days NFS) One thing I would note is that the cop chases are so lame which kinda ruined it for me. I wish they could make a "next-gen" game where you look in your rear view to see 40 corvette cops gunning for you only to be smushed by a giant donut. At least Mods exitst on PC
