  1. The only problem with that board is that it looks like it wont fit the Hypere 212, based on where the CPU socket is and the PCI Express slot
  2. does the lower end board have WIFI? because that's a necesity for where the rig will be
  3. Here’s my list of parts, anyway I could make it even cheaper without changing GPU or CPU? Feel free to suggest a new form factor MOBO and case. Intel Core i5-3570K $234.99 Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO $34.99 Asus P8Z77-I DELUXE $179.99 Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Blue 8GB $51.99 EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE 2GB $389.99 Samsung 840 Series 120GB $109.99 Corsair Builder Series CX600 $69.99 BitFenix Prodigy Midnight Black $79.99 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium $104.99 ASUS Internal 24x DVD Writer $19.99
  4. Is it worth the extra money to buy a 680 over the 670? because the performance on the two cards looks like there isnt too much of a difference... My list of compenets its getting better and better and the cost is staying roughly the same even when i add very high end components like a gtx 680 lightning edition. Still working on funds, and wanted one more piece of advice... i am working on a crappy laptop at the moment, so should i buy the parts that i have posted with the single RAM stick and a Topower 750W Modular PSU or should i wait until i have roughly an extra $200 and get the system with the corsair PSU and a GTX680 lightning edition?? I am also deadset on getting all of this in the Prodigy Midnight Black edition, i'm going to do a nice black and blue themed rig that should go along perfectly with my Quickfire TK and my M60.
  5. Hey guys, i changed a few compnents based on your suggestions and which parts are cheaper at my local pc shop. Pic of my shopping cart from Canada Computers
  6. i love those parts, im going to proce this out at my local shop and see how much it is. I would switch from the 2TB drive and just get a 120GB samsung 840 because i have a few external drives for other stuff
  7. Going to school for Architecture and Design
  8. thanks for the CX PSU suggestion i had totally forgotten about that... Does anyone think that with this budget i could put a 670 in this build?
  9. Tahnks for the suggestions. The only problem with AMD products is that they both suffer performance wise when it comes to photoshop. The formfactor doesn't matter to me at all, and portability is a great thing because i attend LANs pretty much every weekend. I would definitely sacrifice the water cooling for an air cooler for the CPU. The Antec Lanboy Air is $114 at my local computer shop, and the Prodigy is $79... just for prices on those two cases
  10. this is going to be my second gaming rig and i need some help... I know that i want to keep it on the cheap side, but i want to get as many high end parts as possible. The things that i require the rig to do is photoshop, autocad and revit. I am going to university for architecture and design so the ability to run these programs is a necessity. I play battlefield 3 and COD Black ops II on my current rig, but i cant max out battlefield and that is definitely something that i want to do, I would also like to max out Crysis 3. I would like the machine to be an Intel machine because of preferences, it would also be nice if the case has transportation in mind, Bitfenix prodigy or Antec Lanboy Air. I am a student so as expected i have a very small budget of $1200. If the small budget means that i will have to cut corners like having lower end RAM and no SSD then thats fine, but my last requests are that it have at least 8GB of RAM and an overclokable motherboard and CPU cooler. I also prefer water cooling for the CPU... All suggestions are welcome!! Thanks!!
  11. amazing rig! what do you do with your old hardware?
  12. i am a complete audiophile, so yes to me a sound card is necesity, but only get one if you have an analog headset...
  13. did exactly what you guys said and they ordered me a new one last week... and i picked it up today and its great, they even gave me a free mouse pad for the m60 i bought today :D
  14. just picked up a CM Storm Quick fire TK, the keyboard is amazing with the cherry MX Blue switches. I am having a problem with the LED behind the "H" key, its not working right now, but when it does it will stay on for about thirty seconds then it goes back off. i wouldnt mind this if it was lie a funvtion key... but since the H key is right in the middle its an eyesore
