We can't help you with inconclusive information. We need to know for sure if the problem is with the computer or the site. As for your desktop, the only thing I can tell you right now is to get Windows activated. Not activating Windows can come with a whole slew of problems (not least of which being legal).

Does your mic work otherwise? Just not on the one site? What is your desktop build? LEDs generally have a life expectancy of 50,000 hours so even if they are running 24 hours a day they should last 5+ years

Unless you did an offline clone (i.e. neither drive running windows at the time) there will usually be issues when booting to the new drive as the system files that are in use cannot be copied over. You will probably have to run a boot repair either through windows installer or a third party program. You could also start from scratch and use a hardware cloning device or use a cloning software that has a bootable version of their program. There are plenty of free programs you can find, but the one I like and have used many times is Macrium Reflect Free.

I agree. Based on everything I'm now suspecting the mb might be bad. Best to rma while you can and get some new hardware

Sounds like there might be an issue with the ISO. Have you tried downloading a fresh copy and creating a new boot USB?
