  1. Yeah. But the NZXT Kraken x62 is such a beauty. Thank you for your advice, I will stick with the B450 Tomahawk MAX. If I can ever get my hands on it, that is.
  2. I am still waiting for it to reach my country - Czech republic. Sellers here have no idea, when they will get it... I assume you are speaking of AIO liquid coolers? Why would you avoid them?
  3. Thank you very much for such a detailed answer. Still, is there any other alternative to that Tomahawk that I should consider and would give me better chance in runing 3950x with no problem? Like some x470 board for example? I dont really want x570, exactly for the reasons you mentioned. Couldnt care less about PCI4.0.
  4. Hello everyone! I am building a PC and I am going with Ryzen 3600. But I might want to upgrade to Ryzen 3950x in the future. So far I have picked B450 Tomahawk (MAX when its out) from MSI for my motherboard. But I dont know if it would be enought for the 3950x. Or should i buy x570? Thank you for your answers.
  5. Thank you. Actually I have an older 500GB SSD which I will use exactly for that. I am probably gona buy the PC tomorrow. Still deciding on a a case. Either: https://www.mironet.cz/lian-li-pco11dw-dynamic-pc-skrin-eatx-bez-zdroje-2x-usb-30-1x-usb-31-c-pruhledna-bocnice-bila+dp364243/ Or: https://www.tiphardware.cz/thermaltake-core-p3-tg-curved-bench-show-tempered-glass-ca-1g4-00m1wn-05.html I really like the second one, but i know its not that smart of a choice, since its basically and open bench. You have been a great help to me man. Thank you again.
  6. Thank you. That is very reassuring. Can i have one more request? Would you take one more look at my more expensive build assuming that it would contain 2080S instead the 2080TI and tell me if other parts are ok? Or should I change something?
  7. Thanks so much for this insight. I basically ruled out the i9-9700k because most of the comments said that its a dead platform with nowhere to go. (Which I found odd since I thought AMD4 wont probably see another generation of procesors neither) And also 9700k is 120 USD more expensive route than with 3700X. That was the second reason. I will take some more time, check more benchmarks and think about it some more.
  8. Thanks. I will go with the 2080S and buy something nice for my girlfriend instead. I was wondering about the i9-9700K too, but many people sad to me that in this resolution we are playing CPU almost doesnt matter since everything is GPU bottlenecked. Would you agree?
  9. Thank you very much for answer. Yeah i can aford it. I can aford the 2080TI as well, thought it would hurt my wallet . And I am wondering if i shouldnt choose that one. But if you think that with 2080s I can hit 60 fps with just lowering some settings and get good image quality nonetheless - then i will buy that one.
  10. Yeah. I just might do that. Probably will switch the GPU in the more expensive build for 2080 Super. Still i am worried. Just look at this benchmark with a time stamp, you can clearly see the 2080S struggling in Metro Exodus for example:
  11. Well its not double the price. Its 600 USD more. The cheaper one is around 1900 USD. But yeah, its expensive. I worked hard for the money, so i am trying to figure out if its worth it. Would you try to define "abyssally" in this context?
  12. Hello everybody, after months of planing I am finally ready to buy my new gaming PC. I made two different builds (with great help from people from this forum. THANK YOU!), one cheaper - one more expensive and now I have a hard time picking one of them. I will be playing the most demanding titles like AC Origins, Metro and Cyberpunk 2077(next year) on Ultrawide LG 34GK950F with 3440x1440 resolution. Both of these build should manage, one better than the other though. I got money for either of them, but is the more expensive one even remotely sane investment? What would be the difference? What do you think? Builds: AMD sane https://www.czc.cz/ctauvha4k2i6fajm8sfqrvvd48/seznam AMD (in)sane? https://www.czc.cz/fe5kpev7fmjplauu651644iic3/seznam My thinking is that 2080 super (from what i have seen in benchmarks) cannot run Metro or AC:Odyssey on high seetings at 3K over 60 fps. So i am basically worried that when new consoles come and video game graphics will presumably jump a step the 2080S wont give me over 60 fps in such titles. Heck I am even worried about the Cyberpunk 2077, which is a game that I am really looking forward to. Thanks everybody for you insights.
  13. I had. But i was hoping for more personilized advice towards my build. That being sad, would 650W be enough if i try to oveclock? Because i tried this server : https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator And the result was i need 850 Wats. Granted i might entered wrong oveclocking data since i am a newbie in that area. But i tried to use information i got from this forum about the achievable overclocking levels.
  14. My old Corsair PSU died twice, once after they changed it for another. It was a couple years ago, so it might be different, but i dont have the best experience with that companies PSUs.
