  1. Finally, Its complete, my first ever PC rig is finally put together, and boot first time. So much fun putting together my rig, it is a bit challenging. Linus and other pc youtubers who builds pc for a living make it look easy, haha. In case some of you don't know. It took me almost 3 months buying my pc parts and putting it together. So here are the specs of my PC rig

    CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHZ 6-Core

    Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4

    RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8 GB) DDR4- 3600

    Storage: Crucial P1 1TB M.2- 2280 NVME SSD

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660 6 GB GDDR5 OC

    PSU: Corsair CXM 650W 80+ Bronze Semi-Mod

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro ATX Mini Tower Case

    Monitor: LG 34GL750-B 34" 21:9 1080p 144Hz Curved w/ G-Sync Compatible

Peripherals: Keyboard: K68 RGB Rapid fire Mechanical Keyboard

Mice: M65 Pro RGB FPS Gaming Mouse

I know I just build this rig, but I'm already think of replacing some parts for better performance, for example, I was planning of buying a GTX 1660ti or got a bit higher and go for a RTX 2060 super, but like always I'm researching for possible upgrades. Plus I'm also planning to RGB my case, but that's a bit far goal since, I don't have much care for lighting, but for some reason, my mother board have lights on the board itself, and it got me into thinking of put RGB, but won't be a guarantee I'll do this. Maybe in time, I'm a bit curious of what yous think what I should upgrade or should I deck out my rig for RGB? I'm already have iCue from Corsair, I could buy the same parts to make it look fancy with my lighting tricks.

  2. I'm back at it again to give an update on my Ryzen 3600 build.

For those who haven't seen my last post, I started buying my pc parts, starting with my Ryzen 3600 and my Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard.

So I just learn something today, I know I have to update my BIOS for my ryzen, but just today, I realize my motherboard has a Ryzen 3000 ready sticker on it. As far I know, when you have a motherboard that has the sticker on it, it should have the updated BIOS just for the ryzen 3000 compatible firmware. I could be wrong, I learned it from reddit.

Also, my case came in last week, and my storage drive, and my power supply  just arrive today as well, I have ab pic to show to everyone. My ram is soon to follow the next day and the next following is my gpu (I'll make sure to take a pic with all of my part together and assemble). Unfortunately, I originally planning to buy a gtx 1660 ti but due to budget constraints I had to switch my gtx 1660 ti for a non ti. I know performance won't make a big difference, but it kinda sucks to lower your cost when you're in a tight budget. But at least I have gpu.

  3. Just Now, I went ahead and bought my CPU and motherboard. The start of my pc build has begun, scary enough that I haven't build a pc before, but I'm excited. Still more parts to get, and hopefully I'll be able to buy the rest of them by the end of the year. Let's hope the prices doesn't inflate.

      Good choice brother!

Now get the RX 5700XT. I recommend Gigabyte OC RX 5700XT.

  4. In the middle of buying parts for my amd pc build, and the GPU I'm planning on buying is a radeon rx 5700, and I looked into the many rx 5700s and most of them have the founder style case where is only one fan at the tail end, and then it click to me, its a good idea to buy a gpu that has the one fan on the tail end? I know there's other brand rx 5700 with two and three fans, but they're a bit more expensive, and 'm trying to lower my total pc cost. I'm not planning on overclocking it or the games I'm playing doesn't required that much of gpu power, except for Fallout 4. Plus I'm buying a ultra wide IPS 1080p monitor too, even though the rx 5700 is a good gpu for 1440p, it probably won't push it self that hard. Should I suck it up and buy a gpu with an additional fan or its okay to have that founders case gpu? Power Color Radeon RX 5700 8GB or ASRock Radeon RX 5700 Challenger D 8G OC 8GB
  5. @Viper9 Yes, I realized there are more steps to update the bios than I originally thought. Thanks. @Streetguru I do appreciate the build you propose, but unfortunately I already went ahead and bought the motherboard. But I'll make it work, one way or another. I'm sorry for not taking up on the build, but the parts you suggested does help lower my cost. As for the GPU you have a point there, so I'll order that instead. However, I do reject the idea of a 1440p setup, I don't have much care about resolution right now, in the distant future maybe, I'm not sure, but for right now I want performance over quality. Plus the monitor I'm placing isn't the actual monitor, the real one is LG 34GL750-B it has all the same specs but in a cheaper price (not as cheap price as your suggestion, sorry). @MeatFeastMan This is perfect, it's good you break it down for me, cuz I'm just so confuse with these GPUs . I know that newer hardware suppose to be better than their previous version, but to see increase in between hardware rest my worries a lot more. Now with Streetguru's better GPU suggestion I won't need to worry about hesitating to buy a gpu.

But, there somethings im being paranoid. One is my games, mainly Fallout 4, I've been having trouble having a CPU and GPU combo that can play FO4 in 60-100 FPS on Ultra settings. I've been using this site game system requirements.com for a ballpark estimate of FPS for this game, and it seems that with my CPU and GPU combo won't hit my target FPS in Ultra settings, and I couldn't find a video that show the combo on FO4 and not FO76. I get they basically they are same game, but with these newer hardware, you would think they can run better than the CPU and GPU that came out during their release window. Hell FO76 can perform a bit better than FO4 with this combo, I don't get it. So I do need help with this to ease my mind a bit on this., does this site is giving an accurate results?Link to this site and to FO4 FPS chart will be on the bottom of this. If anyone with a R5 3600 and RX 5700 with FO4 install run tests to see how close of FPS you can get. Plus I have other games I'm planning to play as well and they all don't have this problem, FO4 is the only one that's giving me a headache. Have a great day everyone. Fallout 4 FPS Chart
  7. Hello everyone, For a long time, I've been playing console games for a very long time, but I did play some pc games from time to time, however, I never take pc gaming serious. Until, I've been watching gaming mods like Skyrim and Fallout on the pc, and it got me curious in trying out pc gaming with my laptop. I can run some games that I have in Steam, but I wasn't strong enough to play smoothly and I have to tone down the graphics to play. Now my laptop is reaching to where it can't hold up today's standards or something like that, so I decided to build a gaming PC. So I've been sitting down on how to build my own PC. Seeing prices, benchmarks, understanding benchmarks (still trying to learn), looking into the specs, the whole nine yards. So right below this is what games I'll be currently planning to play, and apps that I'll be using for the next few years and my ideal build would look like, as well the target budget for the PC itself (not including monitor, I got a different question, about that), and I need feedback if this build can support the games I'll be playing and render my content. Estimated Budget Cost: Ranging less than $1,000 USD What games I'll be currently playing in this PC (Max Settings): - Fallout (3, New Vegas, & 4) - Smite - Destiny 2 - Apex Legends - Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut What applications I'll be using in this PC: -Photoshop -Premiere Pro My Ideal PC - AMD Ryzen 5 3600x CPU - Asus TUF B450 Plus Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200 RAM - Kingston A400 240GB 2.5" SSD & Crucial P1 1TB M.2-2280 MVME SSD - ASRock Radeon RX 580 8GB Phantom Gaming X GPU - Cooler Master Master Box MB510L ATX Mid Tower Case - Thermaltake Smart 600W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply - LG 34UC79G-B 34.0" 2560x1080 1080p IPS FreeSync 144Hz Monitor The Total amount of the PC itself is roughly around $817.55 USD - without tax/ with the monitor is around $1296.55 USD - without tax For a visual look on the parts listed above, I used PC Parts Picker to build all of these As for a keyboard and mouse, I already have a good keyboard and mouse that came in a bundle during Black Friday along with a wide mouse pad, all for a single price :) For the monitor, the reason I separate the price, is because 1. I'm still exploring other monitors and narrow it down I want in a monitor. 2. I'm worrying that the GPU can't handle a ultra wide monitor even if the monitor is a 1080p. What I want in a monitor is a high Hz (higher than 60Hz), resolution, IPS panel, ultra wide, G-Sync/FreeSync (depending on the GPU of course). HDR is not so important to me at least, unless there's a good reason to chase HDR. That's all I have so far, now I'm looking forward to everyone's feedback, please let me know what am I missing in this build, is there a better PC part that I may overlooked, got a better recommendation for PC combo parts. Does this GPU can run a 1080p Ultra Wide monitor? If not, what GPU can run a Ultra Wide monitor for gaming? Also, does anyone have benchmark those games, especially Fallout 4. Throughout my research on finding the right CPU and GPU combo for Fallout 4. I believe the game is CPU intensive game (that's why I chose a higher CPU). However I am looking for a cheaper CPU and GPU combo that can run Fallout 4 max setting while I'm modding (High setting is also acceptable). I been using this website that shows the game's minimum and recommended specs, as well showing the estimated averages FPS in each resolution to find the right CPU and GPU combo. The sit is called Game System Requirements, I know this site doesn't give an accurate result, that is why I'm asking for an actual benchmark results from an actual person. So if you do have a radeon rx 580 and R5 3600x (or 3600) do let know how well does that combo work for this game. So sorry for the long message. This is my first build, and I want to get it right and I am a little nervous on putting these parts together. Thank for reading this, and have a great day.
  8. Planning to build my very first own full gaming/productivity PC rig, I'm a little nervous, I haven't build a PC rig before, so I may need help when building one.
