  1. Hey everyone. I have quick question: is it possible to make a custom vapor chamber for a laptop. For example, I have a Dell XPS 7590, and I was thinking about whether adding a custom vapor chamber would possible? (FYI: I understand that the Dell XPS 9700 already has a vapor chamber but I am just curious as to whether a custom vapor chamber can be added)?
  2. If anyone would be willing to help with fix these video files, I would really appreciate it.
  3. The lectures were recorded by my teachers from zoom, and the issue is that they were unable to fix it from their end. I was thinking of maybe trying to "lengthen" the part of the video that has super fast dialogue in some video editing software like Sony Vegas, but I am not sure if that would even work.
  4. Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with this. I have a lecture video from one of my classes where the first part of it appears normal and then for some reason it speeds up to the point where you cannot hear what is being said. I have tried using VLC media player to read/try and repair the video file using the AVI codec option, but this has not worked. If someone would be willing to help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it
  5. There may be a few reasons why you cannot see the option. First, is your current BIOS mode UEFI or legacy, since if you are in legacy mode, you will not see the UEFI option. Another thing you could try is disabling fast startup since sometimes that can affect being able to get into the UEFI firmware settings. Third, you could also try making a Boot to UEFI shortcut on your desktop, which may allow you to get into the UEFI firmware settings. Finally, if all else fails, you could try clearing your CMOS. This is what I would do, but I am no expert on this, so if anyone else has a better suggestion, please feel free to chime in.
  6. Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely take that into consideration. Honestly, I am also just waiting a bit until I have enough money saved to start building the PC.
  7. Thank you for your response. Sorry for the dumb question, I just could only find the Q8T1 read and write speeds online and was just wondering about the other results. By the way, I like the specs of your primary rig. I am planning on building a new PC with my brother, but I kind of want to wait until the NVIDIA 3080 comes out (even though it is estimated to be kind of expensive).
  8. Hi everyone, I have just a quick question. Are the benchmark results below for 2 TB WD Black SN750 NVMe drive normal. This question is more out of curiosity, and just to let you guys know I received this drive at quite a bit of discount so that is why I bought it.
  9. Honestly, I am stumped a bit by your issue as well. I have heard of this happening to some other people, though and here is what I have seen that works: you could try disabling fast startup if you are using windows 10. Second, in one case I have read online, the individual ended up having to replace a displayport cable since one of the pins were bent and somehow affecting his NVMe. If these options fail, I would honestly see if you can return your drive for a replacement, even though you stated it is not likely to be an NVMe issue (which I agree with) . I will look into this a bit more and see if anything else comes up.
  10. That is definitely true, did not really pay attention to the partitions in the picture like I should have.
  11. If you know the model number of your computer, you can look up a repair guide on IFixit for the display and see if the guide includes a model number for the display
  12. This could be an issue with what bootable media you are using. If you have not done this, use Rufus to make the bootable media.
  13. No problem. Keep me updated as to whether your issue gets resolve. Also, if you have the money, I would personally upgrade your HDD to an SSD, but it is up to you
  14. Yeah. One thing you could try is disabling chkdsk from startup. That may resolve your issues. I would also check you system for any viruses. While this may be me just being paranoid, some viruses can corrupt and affect certain system files, so it is always a good idea to check. If this does not work, then maybe the best idea would be to reinstall windows. I am sure that someone way more knowledgeable than myself on this issue could give you more suggestions.
  15. Are the phones iphones or android? Because if they are Iphones, you can use the Find my Friends app to "track" where the individuals are. If they add you to their friends app, you can have an idea of where they are at a given time.
  16. Hey, sorry to hear that you are going through this. You may not need the box for a return, especially if it is to Walmart. If you have a copy of the receipt for your purchase, you could just go in and see if you can get a refund. Either than that, I am a bit stuck on how else you could get a refund, unless you want to repair the tablet and then sell it to someone.
  17. Do you have an HDD or SSD in this system? Personally, I think this may be a sign that your storage device is failing, but what I would do is run a SMART scan on your storage device just to see its health. If you have an SSD, you could also check if the firmware on the storage device is up to date. For example, if you have a Samsung drive, you can use Samsung Magician to make sure the firmware is up to date.
  18. Personally, I have not even upgraded my system to the 2004 update yet just due to the numerous issues that are still going on with this version of the operating system. And Microsoft, I believe, is still holding off automatically installing the update on certain brands of PCs.
  19. Dude, I have no idea. And trust me, I know where you are coming from regarding backing up text messages from love ones. For example, I managed to save some of the last text messages from my grandmother before she passed away and she was a really important person for me. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
  20. If you are on android, there is an app called "SMS Backup & Restore" that you can use. It will allow you to save your text messages on your PC and then you can just export the text messages in xml format. Here is the link I am referencing:https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-save-text-messages/
  21. This is awesome. Congratulations on getting the refund. Personally, I would opt for the Samsung variant, such as the Samsung 850 or 860 EVO if you are getting a 2.5 inch SSD. I have found their performance to be a bit more reliable for me compared to the Crucial MX500.
  22. At this point, I would petition Amazon to refund your money, if you have not done this already. I have never heard of this happening to Crucial MX500 drive, but usually if a SATA SSD goes above 60C, there is cause for concern.
  23. Okay I agree with you there. While I may not be the most informed on this, I think you can just clone your ssd to the NVMe drive and then drag whatever you need from the HDD. Once you are done with the HDD, you can probably unmount it from your computer, or you could use it as a backup drive if you are eager to do so.
  24. Just wondering, was the HDD being used as a secondary storage for your games? Because if this is the case, then I think you can just clone your ssd to the NVMe if the SSD has storage that is less than or equal to the storage of the NVMe. This might make it a bit easier to determine whether you can drag files from HDD to the NVMe afterwards.
