  1. yes, I have. They are both fully compatible
  2. Hello, my job gave me 2 docking stations for my laptop at home, both supported by my laptop. They are the HP elite thunderbolt 3 dock and the HP usb-c dock g3. They have virtually the same connections, just VGA on the thunderbolt, that I don't need. Which one would you use?
  3. Oh thank you! I had it reversed. I never checked this detailes on RAM before
  4. Hello, I just upgraded the ram in my workstation to 2x16GB 2666MT CL19, from 2x8GB 2666MT CL19. In my current gaming machine, I have 2x8GB 2666MT CL17, is it worth the upgrade to the ones from my previous workstation from CL17 to CL19? I have it laying around in another PC, but I don't know if it is worth the assle, if it makes any difference. PC specs apart from RAM: i7-7820HK, GTX1080
  5. Thank you! Yes, saving on SSD and move the money to CPU. For the monitor I think she will ask to some of her colleagues for suggestions. I was thinking that probably instead of the 3700x, I could update to 32GB of RAM for the same budget. In Europe some prices are higher, especially ram. @Little_Apprentice What do you think? 6. Thanks for the reply. I went for the micro ATX because it was cheaper and I didn't think she would benefit from other feature from a full ATX board. I was not thinking about the 2700x. I can find for 10€ cheaper than the 3600, and it should perform better. Great idea! I forgot to mention that I have a couple of HDD at home, and I will mount those @SupaKomputa I put together a new configuration with the suggestion from all PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor €183.85 @ PC Componentes Motherboard MSI B450M-A PRO MAX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard €65.06 @ Amazon Espana Memory Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory €101.63 @ Amazon Espana Storage Sabrent Rocket 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive €152.99 @ Amazon Espana Video Card EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB KO ULTRA GAMING Video Card €345.15 @ PC Componentes Case Aerocool QS-240 MicroATX Mid Tower Case €38.36 @ Electronicamente Power Supply Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply €80.24 @ PC Componentes Monitor ViewSonic VX2776-4K-MHD 27.0" 3840x2160 Monitor €375.20 @ Amazon Espana Keyboard Redragon K552 Wired Gaming Keyboard €49.99 @ Amazon Espana Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €1392.47 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-04-17 15:10 CEST+0200 On the monitor what is your opinion?
  7. Hi there, I need some help with the build for my girlfriend, she is an art director and designer.I am more comfortable with gaming builds, and maybe there is some small piece I could leave behind. I will follow the guidelines 1. Budget & Location The budget is 1000€. The conversion to dollar price part is usually 121, plus 300/400 for a 4K monitor, and 100 for the peripherals. Location is Spain 2. Aim The PC will be used for content creation on adobe suite mainly (Huge files), autocad, other design programs and some video editing as secondary. I will probably use it for gaming sometimes, but I have my own system for that, so it is not a real target. 3. Monitors 4K monitor 4. Peripherals OS not required. I have some old OEM keys at home that I can recycle. She just needs a good keyboard and mouse with 100$ budget. 5. Why are you upgrading? She has a laptop for the job, but it is becoming a bottle neck and she needs a more powerful machine. Reliable and always ready. I made 2 configurations, and I have my doubt on the graphic card. I tried with a 2060 KO for the performance close to the 2070 in productivity and a 5700XT. Any suggestion there? I went in both cases with Ryzen 3600 with standard cooler right now, and I will look for a different one in case of overclock, if needed. The RAM is RGB because was the best price in the website I checked for a 16GB, 2x8, 3200 kit. Option 1 - 976€ Option 2 - 1027€ Thank you
  8. Hi, I am looking for a way to download the benchmark list like 3D Mark, CPU-Z etc. in an excel file (Raw data in general). Do you know if there is any webpage providing this info? If it aggregates more than a benchmark would be perfect. I am looking for both CPUs and GPUs. It is ok to pay for the data https://valid.x86.fr/bench/1 https://benchmarks.ul.com/compare/best-cpus
