  1. Hello, I bought a G14 in August of this year after my Lenovo laptop's keyboard stopped working. I got it for school and computer science work, (im a cs major). at the end of christmas day, I open my laptop to get some cs work done. And see this: I restarted it to get a better view. It doesnt go away when the laptop loads up, or in any other time unless the display is off. Its some kind of backlight bleed. You can see the ring of light that goes around the screen. It is incredibly obnoxious, especially coming from a 1100$ laptop. I bought the G14 because I wanted a laptop that wouldnt have alot of stupid problems. There could be an easy solution here, but I highly doubt it. Any ideas...? EDIT: It actually fixed itself after using it for a little while. It's still there, just not as noticable or annoying. I'll see if its still got the problem in the morning.
  2. Budget (including currency): 600 to 700 USD Country: The God Blessed United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Unity Game Development, School stuff Other details Looking for advice on what laptop to get sup nerds, I need your majestic wisdom I need a new laptop. current laptop is hindering my maximum nerdosity problems with the old laptop, which is a Lenovo Flex 14: Just to be clear, I never dropped or abused this laptop in any way. I did carry it in my backpack for classes and transportation, but it should be durable enough to handle that. -Keyboard & Trackpad dont work (i've taken it to a repair shop and done my own work dont try to troubleshoot for me) -Keyboard lagging (comes and goes randomly) -Webcam broken (just broke randomly one day) so i've gone and gotten a keyboard I've just hooked up to the laptop and a mouse so I can do my Unity work and school, but the keyboard lag is still an issue. I also cant take my laptop anywhere so its acting like a really week desktop rn. the keyboard lag is extraordinarily annoying when writing anything, like code or essays, and especially while playing games with my friends. I've only had the laptop a year. Alot of the tech I've gotten lately has broken pre maturely. I am looking for a laptop with these conditions: -Is not going to die on me just outside the warranty period -is not going to develop stupid issues -Has at least 12 gb of ram -Has a ryzen 5 or 7 -Good-looking design -1920 x 1080p display -Fingerprint reader -600-700 USD Things i dont care about: -high-capacity storage (128 is fine tbh i can upgrade later anyways.) -backlit keyboard (why?) I appreciate your suggestions.
  3. wow. Why are they so expensive? its not too difficult to get 1440p 144hz IPS monitors for less than 400. well, geuss ill upgrade a few years from now when ultrawide are cheaper and i have more money to spend.
  4. Hello fellow tech enthusiasts! I've recently gotten REALLY into programming and want to upgrade my old monitor to an ultrawide i can program and game with sometime around christmas. Ive been looking everywhere on Amazon and newegg but cant find one that fits what I want at a reasonable price. i'm looking for a 3440x1440p 120hz+ IPS monitor that costs between 400 ad 600 dollars. Does anybody know of one that fits these criteria? I would be very thankful for anyone that does. i might just be stupid, or there might actually be none that fit this criteria. IDK. i geuss i just have to keep looking.
  5. I am a huge fan of using TV's as monitors on my desk (which is super deep). Im a big fan of the big display life. In about 5-7 years, I'll be building a new PC setup and I will be using a TV as my monitor. However, I would like to be able to use an ultrawide, but they're not big enough. does anyone think that by that time there will be BFGD's that are ultrawide? like 50" ultraiwdes? That would be super dope.
  6. Hello LTT Forums! I am upgrading to a Corsair 220t from my NZXT H500 due to bad airflow through the h500 and the value proposition of the 220t. (it comes with 3 high quality fans and a fan controller). There are three fans in the front in taking, up to 2 exhausts in the top and one exhaust in the back. Due to the high airflow of this case, wouldn't a blower design GPU be better, since all the air is exhausted out the back and the GPU would receive a constant flow of fresh air, rather than recirculating it which would happen with an open GPU design?
  7. I recently saw a monitor on amazon by sceptre. Its 2560x1080, 200hz, 30", 300$, linked below. After watching Linus's review of a 400$ 2560x1440p monitor that had horrible artifacting while moving things on screen like file manager, i was curious if this monitor would have the same problem, or could have any other problems. Please, if you have this monitor or know anything about it please let me know. https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-30-inch-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B07TXM7K4T/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=2560x1080p+monitor&qid=1565883338&refinements=p_n_feature_thirteen_browse-bin%3A17751775011%2Cp_72%3A1248882011%2Cp_n_feature_fourteen_browse-bin%3A17751792011%2Cp_n_size_browse-bin%3A3547808011&rnid=2633086011&s=pc&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTkpONkNMVkpPQUZVJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjk0NzAzMjFQV1VPNTZJQVlXWiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDU4MTg3MUVPRzJTVVpDSzJKMyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=#customerReviews Edit: Not asking for other monitor suggestions, I want an ultrawide with at least a 120hz refresh rate because i plan to game and use my PC as a workstation. I also know that 200hz out of a 300$ ultrawide is too much to ask for. I plan to put the monitor at 144hz if I go with this one. I am asking if anyone who has the monitor knows if it is any good.
  8. the cpu is a Ryzen 5 2600. Currently the case generates alot of noise, and I plan to overclock the cpu once I water cool it.
  9. Correction: "which would happen if I mounted the Dual rad in the front blowing air inwards"

  10. Hello, LTT Forums! I have an H500 and plan to get a corsair dual-rad cpu cooler. However, I have some concerns about fan orientation. I don't want to blow hot air into my chassis, which would happen if I mounted the Dual rad in the front, the only place where it can be mounted. Even though the limited ventilation in the front of the case, should I still mount the dual rad blowing outwards? There is only an inch wide strip going all the way down on one side that is perforated. I would also make both of the fans at the both blow inwards, towards the CPU and motherboard. Thank you for your help! :D
