Currently looking to get a monitor because I’m in my first year of owning a pc, and I’m currently borrowing one from a family member. I was looking at two in particular, the ASUS pg279q and the pg279qz. I’ve seen the qz has worse contrast and brightness, and I’ve also seen the price for the q come down to the price of the qz a few times before. Was wondering people’s thoughts and if it is still a good option for me in 2019? Pc Specs Cpu: Ryzen 2700x Gpu: Nvidia Gtx 1070 ti not OCed Memory: 16 gb gskill storage: 500 gb ssd
-
Yeah I’m going to research more and look at my options. Thanks for the opinion
-
How much do you think 1070 supers will be running in about 8 months from now cause I won’t be using the 1070 ti anymore so the resale price will make up for it a little bit.
-
Most likely 1440p

I was thinking of upgrading my current rig from a 1070ti to a 2070 super. Thoughts? specs: Corsair crystal 570x rgb Asus Rog Strix b450-f gaming mobo amd Ryzen 7 2700x (stock cooler) 16 gb ddr4 g.skill trident 3200 gigabyte GeForce gtx 1070ti gaming 9g Evga supernova 750 g3 80+ seagate barracuda 2tb hard drive samsung 500gb 860 evo ssd p.s. I know cable management is horrendous, I’m working on it.

I’ll check later, I was thinking about it while on vacation when talking to my family who has some pc people in it and was wondering what people thought.
-
That’s good info thanks, I’m not picky with audio either and I agree with what you said. The ram is just a long term thing. Like you said it’s been cheap recently and I wouldn’t have to upgrade for later so i could take it or leave it
-
Personally ram is decently cheap so I was thinking it’s a good exchange in price for Benifit and it gives me room for later
-
I try to push my pc in that sense, so yeah I’m in 1080/ 4K on forza In the sense of accessories, i think the next thing is a moniter though, again I’m fairly new to pc so I’m running of the 4K tv I have for my Xbox as well. So so in order ssd, moniter/sound, ram?
-
It’s been since I built it that changes have been made so it’s definitely the itch. SSD is one of the first on the list ( soon). About the other things listed I’m new to the pc scene so those parts are a work in progress, I’m hoping to get moving on them.

I’m thinking about the future and what it holds for my pc. Any input on what would benefit the most Specs: r7 2700x (stock fan, no oc yet) B-450 f gaming motherboard G.skill trident 16 go ddr4 3200mhz Seagate barracuda 2tb Gigabyte GeForce gtx 1070 ti 8gb Full atx crystal 570x evga supernova 750 g3 80+ 750w My personal choice 1. Case fan, Corsair (time: 1 month) 2. 16gb more ram, same (time: 3 months) 3. SSD, Samsung 500 gb (time: Christmas) 4. Motherboard, crosshair series (time: Christmas) 5. Gpu, SLI 1070 ti (time: eventually) Some of these upgrades that I’m thinking about (graphics card) are long term but I’m curious what other people think
