  1. thanks for replying. Right now I'm using a old LCD tv as a monitor but I plan on buying a monitor in addition to my build. I have a GTX 1070 in my current desktop. I've been looking at a 144hz display, if I bought that how big of a difference would it make
  2. thanks for replying. I'd like to stay at 1500 or less but there is some wiggle room if I need it
  3. thanks for replying. gaming and streaming mostly, everything else I do doesn't require much power
  4. Thanks for replying. Is that a general rule of thumb or is there certain things to look for
  5. I currently have a desktop that I built (my first) and I want to start over and build a completely new one. I had a fair amount of trouble trying to decide between components the last time and I want to make sure I'm making solid choices this time around. I'm thinking the budget I want to stick to is 500 or less for the CPU, 200 for the motherboard, and 400 for the GPU. Spending less then would obviously be preferable. I've been looking at the I-9 9900k and the Ryzen 7 3800x that's about to come out, open to other recommendations. I'm not sure about what motherboards would be a good choice. As far the GPU, I've been looking at a RTX 2060 but again I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
