GregVandy88 got a reaction from sirbuzzkill in gtx 1060 6gb Triple monitors for Iracing
I know I'm a little late to the party but for sim racing only, i only run iRacing, i would recommend triple 1080p monitors over everything else unless you plan to upgrade to a new rtx 3080 or something along those lines to push triple 1440p panels.  3 good 1080p 144hz 27 inch Monitors can be had for like $150 each and getting 3 panels for $400-600 can be done easily. I set my friend up with 3 asus 27s 144hz as he already had 1. We got one refurbished for $120 and paid 160 for the other new. He runs a 7700k/5700xt and iracing he is typically around 200fps, dips around 140 with alot of cars/night race/ settings on high. He now runs everything on high with the exception of a couple settings on medium and locks his rate at 144, it stays there. The 7700k has a good OC with a 280mm AIO. I was running a 5700xt and went to a 1080ti then 2080ti. I run triple 27 inch 240 hz 1080p monitors, paid $800 for all 3 last black friday. With a 9700k/2080ti i can lock em at 240, all settings high which was my goal. The cpu usage is only like 30 percent or so. Its low. The gpu with triples is maxed. With 1080ti i paid $300 for i was getting average of 240fps but sometimes seeing 150fps or so depending on track/car numbers and settings all on high. When people went unloading 2080ti's, i snagged a FE for $450 and limit fps to 240 in game, it never ever goes lower. I tried without setting the 240hz limit and it was 300-400 high settings with the lowest fps i saw was high 200s.
TLDR; your cpu is fine, you may get more fps with a good overclock so a good cooler is cheap, get one, mainly get a good gpu, 1080tis are cheap nowadays, get a good one and 3 1080p 144+hz monitors and have a killer setup. I had my triples mounted on a desk with $20 monitor arms prior to buying my 8020 rig and it was solid. I'd find a decent monitor stand and 3 displays. Triples are the best unless you like VR but 1 of the 2 is the only way to go. I had the 49 inch superultrawide prior to getting the triples. It cost more than all 3 of my 240hz panels and the experience was not comparable. I sold that suw, next upgrade will be 1440p or 4k monitors along with a monster gpu but not for a year or 2, i love my setup.

GregVandy88 got a reaction from Vishvas Sudarshan in Should I buy the Corsair HS50?
I dont care for the sound quality of the hs50 at all. Kind of like the cloud, cloud 2, lacking low end punch and lacking high end clarity to a lesser extent. The hyperX cloud alpha sounds better than both just slightly and the hyperX revolver sounds way better than any corsair headphone and is the best hyperX headset. Id get the hyperX cloud revolver. Better highs, mids, thumping yet clean bass. Better mic than all those too and can pick it up for $100 or less. It does have the different style headband some like, some don't. I like it. Its far better quality than hs50 or cloud 2.  If you want cheap, get the hyperX cloud stinger. $50
This is all only if you insist on a gaming headset. You could pick up the audio Technica ad700x for less than a hundred and have an awesome headphone. Id pay a few dollars more and get the ad900x plus a cheap mic. You could get one of the audio technicas and a cheap mic for under $100. If you dont like the headband design then look at the philips shp9500 plus a cheap mic
