I think I might avoid 4k purely to target high refresh rate. Would you recommend 34 inch 3440 x 1440/ UW monitors?

Can someone recommend a monitor for this system? Currently I have a ACER Predator XB271HU and a second monitor that has several issues. Planning to delegate to the ACER to the second and purchase a new monitor I've noticed there are OLED monitors in the market now and not sure if it's wise to purchase now. I had my eye on the Alienware AW3423DW, but I'm undecided. Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I have quite a bit of desk real estate and plan to mount the monitor/s on the wall. I've heard good remarks on ultrawide monitors, however I'm not sure if it's worth and maybe rather purchase a high end 27 inch 1440p monitor. I'm also a bit concerned with the loss in performance due to the higher resolutions ultrawide displays exhibit and also the compatibility in some games. I'm currently running a 3080 paired with a 3700x

I currently have a 24 and 27 inch dual monitor setup. I'm planning on replacing both and curious what option would be best in terms of monitor setup. Ultrawide monitors are tempting, however i'm concerned with how they are supported in games and possible loss of dual monitor productivity. Any suggestions?

Sorry, should have been more specific. Looking for something with similar or possibly better specs than my previous monitor (1440p, 170HZ, G Sync). My budget can exceed probably $1000 AUD. I have a 3080 paired with a 3700x.

As indicated by the title, looking for a monitor to replace my Acer Predator XB27HU which is defective. Not sure if it's just me, but noticing a lack of current monitors in the $900 AUD price range, with some pushing into the 1100 - 1300 range. Additionally, does anyone think a ultrawide/curved monitor would be a good investment or stick with dual monitors? Any suggestions?

Hello. I'm having trouble determining a quality extension cable for my index. I'm not sure if a male to female display port is the only option. I need approximately an additional 2m to go across my room. Trying to avoid any poor quality options with video dropout, poor image quality, etc. Cheers

Ah, that worked. It appears I somehow cranked the brightness up in Nvidia Control Panel and after reverting to default, the issue has disappeared. Cheers mate.

Where it says 'set as default' in the bottom right.

I’m having an issue when on some dark backgrounds, especially Netflix shows and YouTube, patches of discolouration appear around my display. I have an example of the issue attached. Anyone know what this is and how to fix?

Whenever I attempt to set an ICC profile as default, it applies initially but reverts when I click off the colour management window. Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, I should have clarified. Rather than the cost, I'm referring to if the RGB component becomes more of a hinderance in the long term.

I've been looking to purchase a new mousepad, specifically an extended one. I noticed the razer goliathus, which while the high price tag, seems like a nice novelty to match with my setup. However, I have some concerns. Like the appearance of the RGB in the long term or difficulties to clean. I would just like to hear someone else thoughts or possibly an extended mousepad recommendation. Cheers
