  8. Hi My psu is the CORSAIR RM650 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply. The CPU cable is 8-pin to 8-pin. Now my motherboard has a 8 pina nd 4 pin connecter for the cpu. Now i would like to connect them both is it okay to order a new PSU cable for my CPU from for example cablemod that is 8-pin to 8+4-pin? Or is that a bad idea for some reason i do not know? Thanks in advance
  9. Budget (including currency): 1400 euro Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Hitman, Geometry dash, Minecraft modpacks. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi my nephew is looking to buy a new pc at this moment he is looking at this one: https://www.dell.com/nl-be/shop/cty/pdp/spd/g-series-15-3500-laptop/cng3022?cartitemid=3357c1a2-8f9f-4b2f-98f6-0942873515da&ref=carconfigedittitle&configurationid=d379419c-c883-4d4d-924f-1363a0e7ad45 But he asked me to see how much a desktop would cost without screen, keyboard etc. with the same specs as the laptop to see how much money he can save if any. So the point of this build is being as cost effective as possible i have picked out some parts you can see them listed below. I am having a little trouble selecting a good budget cpu cooler and motherboard. If you would change anything from the already selected parts feel free to do so if you think that would be better. So the whole idea is to have a desktop with the same specs as the laptop but for as much less money as possible without losing performance. Thanks in advance. 11. Hi i just build a new computer now i have been playing on it for a week. But today when i turned it on nothing happened (also when i press pwr switch on mb) no beeps or anything its like the power button wasnt working. Next i took the motherboard out and placed it on its box to see if that worked. The only thing that happens is the rgb from the motherboard itself turns on when i turn on the PSU. Now i have my PSU here and my motherboard with its CPU cooler and CPU. when i press the pwr switch on the mb itself the still nothing happens. 18. Hi i am looking to build a small computer. I will have windows 10 as os and a virtualbox with ubuntu 9.04 with misterhouse running at all times. The pc's only purpose will be running the software and sometimes make small changes. (nothing else) The only computers i built so far were for gaming so i do not know if i can leave out a GPU for example. It would be very helpfull if i could receive some suggestions. 20. (english not first language) Hi i am using the be quiet dark base pro 900 rev.2 case and i have the asus rog x570 strix-e motherboard. My psu is the dark power pro 750w. Now to the issue. The case has a wierd psu mount. You mount the psu then plug a psu cable that is connected to the case (and has also an intigrated switch) to the psu. And then you plug the psu cable into the case and plug it into the electricity spot Now i did that and connected the 24pin everything from the case and the 4-pin on the top right. I flipped both switches (the one on the psu and the one on the case). But the rgb from the MB does not start to glow and my system wont boot so my mb isnt getting any power. Any ideas onm what i am doing wrong?
