  1. If I do not have another PC to text the RAM on how will I do that? Edit:: Bios is already on latest and I will reset to factory default
  2. So if all the diagnostics come back passed, what would be my next step in repairing this laptop?
  3. When you say hard lock, Im assuiming that means I have to turn off the pc by holding the power button for 5 seconds and if so then yes
  4. I dont get an error. I just reset the cmos a couple minutes ago and it does the same thing. I every once in a while get a preparing automatic repair. But when I try to boot into an flash drive the system just freezes. I have secure boot turned off in bios but everything else should be okay.
  5. My HP 15-ch011nr Laptop wont boot into windows. The Specs of the laptop are I7-8550U, 16GB 2133, Nvidia MX150, 512 NVMe SSD, Windows 10 64-bit. The system recently black screened while working in Revit and now the system wont boot into windows or a windows install media. I have done a bios update and it is on version F.32 Rev.A with the correct board ID. I have also run HP's built in extensive diagnostics twice and nothing comes back failed. The system also will not boot into a linux live disk either. I am assuming there is a physical issue with it but I just wasn't sure with the passed Diagnostics.
  6. Hi, I am currently going through and purging my files. In my disk management I am seeing all of these healthy smaller disks for 200-500 MB roughly. I can not delete the volumes or deactivate them. Also the 16.94 GB section doesn't let me do anything on it either. When I right click on it, all I get is the help option. Is there a way to get rid of all of those other smaller partitions and just expand the large section over the top of the other ones? When I try to expand the Data Drive section, it just lets me know there isnt enough space on the drive to do so. I appreciate any help thank you!
  7. So when I select try *Distro* instead of installing it, it also goes to a black screen
  8. I am attempting to dual boot my system currently with any distro of Linux right now, I have tried several. I am not very knowledgeable in this area so if I get something wrong just please let me know. I have an HP Laptop, which I know HP has a slew of BIOS Hoops you have to jump through to get it working, with a Ryzen 5 3500U. I have disabled Secureboot and Tried with both legacy boot enabled and disabled, but every time I go to install a linux Distro, I boot to it and select install on the boot screen, then my screen goes black and does nothing after that. I was told to see if Caps lock key works and when the screen goes black the Caps lock doesn't work. They said it might be a kernal issue and to try a newer Distro like Manjaro but it did the same thing with that.
  9. I just bought a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series laptop When I first used the laptop it worked perfectly fine at full charge. Once i get to around 70% battery life, any time that I do a restart or turn the computer off and turn it back on later, It pops up the battery is critcally low even though I know its not. I can continue to use it even with a critcal battery and it only saying 2 minutes remaining on life. I have restored the OS as well as dell replaced the battery but continues to do it. I have read one article about it that someone said it could possible be a software side issue but they did not say if there was a solid solution. I have nothing running in the background and all the bloatware has been removed. I am running Windows 10 1903 Update. It doesnt necessarily prohibit use but it does make using it extremely annoying. My specs are I7-8765U, 16GB RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD, Integrated 620 Graphics. If anyone has a similar issue or a solution that would be awesome, open to all ideas.
