I would guess not too much warmer than a smartphone on a charger. It's not running an i3 or anything. Just an ARM processor.

I bought a NZXT Hue. The thing is worth every penny! The thing worth mentioning ís that it mixes the color you want out of Red Green and blue. So the percieved color is the one you dial in, but your components (e.g. red) get shine at with red green and blue light, first of which is reflected and makes the colors pop out at you more. That effect works astonishingly well.

Here's a photo i took with my potatoe.

BTW, what extension is that? I am on the search for cheap-ish ones.

Edit: Edited in the purple picture. With regular - actual purple light - the components would look all mushy and faded. But with the NZXT Hue...

Have you ever made just one little tweak to your system that made it sooo much easier to look at? This is the first time I have done something so small, that still made a big difference to me.

First, I will have you know, that I have a Thermaltake 850 Smart M series PSU. Unfortunately, it is only semi-modular, and so the 24-pin and 4x2-pin cords are permanently attached. This would be FINE, if they didn't look like this:

It's an eyesore! So I decided to do something about it. I went shopping for the cheapest blue braided cables I could find with decent reviews. These came up on Amazon for 5 bucks.

So, it was time. I opened up the case with gusto, and unplugged the ugly vermin cables that had drawn my eyes for almost a year. This was their time to go into hiding. And so they did. They now reside in the depths of hell, behind the motherboard tray.

After blending old and new, the time had come to introduce the new power-giver to the rest of the parts. It wasn't easy at first, they would not bend freely to my will. But as time went on, they gave way to my threats of fire and snips.

After a while, they allowed me to bend them to meet their final resting place. It was a match made in heaven, and they could not be happier.

Even at night, it looks as if there will be no problems. Except maybe a yell or two from the old replaced neighbor behind the tray.

Share your story with me! Have you made some small tweak to your system that makes a big difference? Or a difference just to you? Let me know. This could be fun, and give some people some new ideas maybe.

You should be able to plasti-dip pretty much anything. My only concern would be getting any particulates inside that you don't want, so be sure to plug those holes and tape off what you don't want covered. My buddy plasti-dipped a waterblock for his R9 something, and put down a strip of painter's tape along the front of it, so that when he removed the tape, you could see the red liquid in there, which he back-lit with an LED strip on the back of the block. It can look really sick.

I do like the ROG line, but ASUS also is putting out a X99 Black and White board...

I would have agreed until you said 16GB of RAM. With so many things being memory hogs 16GB is necessary in my opinion.

So, I just found out that this thing was an actual thing.

My question is WHY!?!? This is quite essentially a re-branding of an ASETEK cooler, made for Intel fanboys. Nothing against Intel or their followers, but this is quite ridiculous if you ask me. I am a member of the Red Team myself, (*starts AMD! chant*) but I would never buy what I would call an 'ok' re-branded cooler just to have one and show my support that way.

But I digress. The reason I wanted to start this thread, was because I wanted to know if anyone else has ever seen/heard of/has a link to another product similar to this, in that it was re-branded to sell to a specific crowd. Would you buy this if you were an Intel fanboy? Would you buy something else like this if it were AMD? NVIDIA? Let me know. And if you can find the product online, include a link with it. I would love to see them.

I am not sure where you would stand on the following.

I prefer Intel CPUs. They perform much better in terms of single core performance and I like the wide selection of motherboards in various form factors.

I actually just got myself one of these cards yesterday! (go me) I noticed that I had some artifacts on my screen after bumping the clock up a bit in AMD's Catalyst Control Center. Here is how I solved it (if your problem is something different, this may not work for you)

    1: open CCC
2: on the left of the window, select the Performance tab
3: go to AMD Overdrive, then select Configure Graphics Overdrive(should be the bottom thing on the page)
4: at the bottom of this page, select the Default button, then Apply. You will have to do this with BOTH GPUs! (switch between the two using the drop-down menu at the top of the page)
    5: You're done!

If this helps, then awesome. If not, the only other things I think your problem might be is either the second GPU is going out, the internal Crossfire bridge has become damaged or worn out, OR, and this IS a possibility, it could just be dirty. I've seen dust do a lot of weird things to graphics cards. Take a can of air and give it a VERY thorough cleaning.

Edit: Also check your power supply. These cards take a fair bit of juice, and if your PSU is getting up there in the times (like our GPUs) then it might be time to get a new one of those. Just be sure to test it first. No need to buy another expensive piece of hardware if you don't need to.
