  2. unfortunately i dont have on board graphics
  3. any other suggestions to try? do you think this could be memory corruption and memtest86 isnt picking it up?
  4. I'm almost 99% sure its not the windows installation itself because ive reinstalled it so many times previously and always make sure that its up to date. is there any test i could do for drivers to see if a driver is corrupt?
  5. it seems to happen when its idle and its about 1 week apart when i get them. I noticed that msi dragon center had a new update for pcie network drivers and realtech hd drivers

  9. nope no changes as far as the system itself
  10. what specifically from the event viewer log? this was what i found that has a bugcheck The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x000000000098999c, 0x00000000000000ff, 0x00000000000000c9, 0xfffff8077a4bb8a7). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\052220-10687-01.dmp. 11. it was the irql_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and when i looked in BlueScreenView it says ntoskrnl.exe
  12. Hello, i am having bsod issues. I had one about 7 or 8 days ago and i thought i had resolved by swapping out my hdd which was seemingly making the "click of death" noise. This is the recent minidump i have: BSOD I have tried running memtest86 and no errors pop up. I have also tried replacing my hdd. At a lost here, thank you in advance.
  13. found out they dont want anything in the window thats why..... Im at a lost of what to do other then suffer. Swamp cooler i dont believe would work well for me because i live in new jersey our summers are very humid
  14. my room is pretty small honestly. so one of these might do wonders, how well do these work?
  15. So my parents don't want me putting in a AC unit in my window or even one of the floor fans that have the ducs going to the window. I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on how to cool my room or things you have tried? wether its a personal cooler that works really well to keep me cool while im gaming preferably on my desk and possibly something at night. Theres so many different coolers out there and im unsure of which to try or what would work for my scenario
  16. Curious as to what you guys might run on your gpus i have a very mild overclock going on and just wondering what you might consider optimal?! i don’t mind a little noise while gaming but when it’s time for bed nice and quiet is preferable.
  17. i actually reapplied thermal paste and everything seems great now.
  18. So i’m actually stumped here and i don’t have any hardware to swap to diagnose to get 100% the answer of what is wrong here. The story here is i keep getting KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE. At first i tried bios updates uninstalling reinstalling every driver in my pc. I ran prime95 today with the xmp profile enabled and i got an error in worker #8(not sure if the worker number actually matters) so i reset the bios to default with stock ram settings and got the same error again. currently in the process of resetting the cmos battery and running memtest86 overnight with stock settings/bios. Best case scenario i get an error with memtest and get some new ram. if it passes all tests my thinking is replace motherboard at that point? any other suggestions or advice are welcome here! don’t really have the money to be throwing at a pc right now to “hope” that it works. PC SPECS CPU- Ryzen 5 3600 RAM- CL16 Trident z RGB 3200mhz MOBO- MSI x570 mpg gaming GPU- ROG STRIX 2070 Thank you in advance !
  19. i offset the voltage by -.100 in bios and so far it’s been pretty stable and haven’t noticed significant frame dips or clock dips.
  20. i only offset it -.100 and don’t seem to lose a lost in performance at all and lose about 10c of heat on all cores
  21. ive used both core temp and ryzen master
  22. i sent you a message if you wouldn’t mind guiding me through how to do this:)
  23. thank you for the info guys i’ve never seen a 6 core idle this high before so i wanted to be sure when i saw 50-60c idle in windows it was a little concerning i’ll leave the voltage and such alone
  24. I notice that on my ryzen 5 3600 my thermals peak at about 60c idle and average between 50-55c my peak temperature for gaming is at about 75c. Wondering if theres a fix or a setting i can adjust to get the thermals lower for idle. I've never seen a cpu idle this high
  25. so i plan on getting the msi b450 gaming carbon AC great value for the price and i have a 2070 asus strix. the only reason i’m not going with an asus board is because i can’t seem to find one that’s relatively the same price that will allow me to flash a bios without a cpu(getting a ryzen 3000 soonTM) is there anyway to get the rgb to sync up despite being different manufacturers? Also am i able to use the asus rog strix b450-f gaming and flash the bios with this? i’m unable to find out if i can use the 3600 with this board out of the box to flash bios
