  1. Amen dude. It's weighing the pros and cons. I completely understand their reasoning behind it. I was just having a conversation with a friend about this last night over dinner. He didn't understand why I'm such a PC guy, but still use and iPhone. After a few minutes of explaining the cost and benefits to him, example being I'm more likely to lose my phone than my desktop, he saw where I was coming from. Whatever! Lol, after watching The Social Dilemma I'm in the fad stage where I've cut all notifications anyway.
  2. I know this now after doing some more research. It's been a constant battle between my hatred of Apples enclosed ecosystem and my love for their attention to privacy.
  3. Nevermind. Right after posting I found this thread https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1228697-imessage-on-androidlinuxwindows-looking-for-alpha-testers-open-source/
  4. Might be the wrong spot to post this, but what the hell.. I'm an iPhone/Windows user and was looking for a way to get iMessage on my desktop. All of my reading lead to me emulation. iPadian doesn't seem to be the most trustworthy thing and a VM seems like too much work. Any solutions/recommendations? If I figure it out beforehand, I'll edit that post. Thanks
  5. Good morning All, I've finally decided to pull the trigger on signing up for a VPN and I come to you all, the LTT community to get recommendations. I would normally go to reddit, but that sites going downhill. In a case like this, I would typically go straight to the product most recommended by a quick DuckDuckGo search or whatever the LTT ads have been, but in the past year or two there have been a lot of VPN's that have been bought up by larger companies. This is a problem because large companies data hording and tracking every move I make is one of the big drivers in me wanting to get a VPN. I was going to go for Private Internet Access but saw they were aquired by Kape Technologies late last year. Not being able to find much about this company, I don't trust em... It's hard to find any information on them other than them being Israeli and their current stock price on the London Stock Exchange, which is $178 USD at the time of writing. NordVPN is looking like the winner right now, but I still wanna hear some recommendations. Just a note, it will be used on a Windows 10 desktop, Windows 10 laptop, 2 iPhone 11+'s, and the occasional Galaxy S10.
