  1. It's EKWB Cryofuel. I guess I'll let it run for another day or 2 and see if it gets worse. I know I didn't flush my rads as intensly as I did a few years ago when I bought them, so I wouldn't be surprised.
  2. I just cleaned out my system and refilled it a couple days ago. It has been a couple days and I already noticed what looks like corrosion on a lot of the tubing/waterblocks in addition to microbubbles. I'm guessing I need to flush it again and deep clean it all. Any ideas?
  3. I have an EVGA G3 that has a dying fan and it's out of warranty. I was hoping to grab one of the new G psu's and just swap out the main unit. Anyone know if they have the same pinouts?
  4. For some reason, after a few minutes of editing in lightroom my pc starts killing itself and becomes almost unusable. I drop to a few fps and it will go back to normal around 15 seconds after closing LR. My resources are barely touched according to task manager. I'm using a 9900k, m.2 ssd, 32gb of ram and a gtx 1080, so there should be no excuse for it to die. I have increased the cache to 30gb since that can help some people, but beyond that I'm lost. Any ideas why LR is killing my system?
  5. I have a Freenas server that I've been using for a while. I reset my main rig and now every time I restart my pc I can't auto log into the NAS. It says the network username/password are wrong. I can just reenter my password and check save credentials, but I naturally would like to just automatically log in like how I had my system before. Any idea why it keeps saying my info is wrong?
  6. I'm trying to set up my camera to do long timelapses for 3d printing. Unfortunately my Sony A7III doesn't like to connect to multiple external devices. Specifically in my case, a tether cable to download photos to my storage server and a raspberry pi with octoprint to trigger the camera to take a picture. I can do one or the other, but once once system is connected, the other doesn't work. Therefore I thought that maybe I could just connect my camera to octolapse and use a wifi sd card to auto download to my pc. But now I'm having a lot of trouble getting the card configured. I updated the firmware and used the flashair tool to get it set up as far as I know, but the moment I transfer the card to my camera I struggle to get it to connect to my pc. The motherboard has built in wifi, but I can barely get a few pictures over after around 15+ seconds. It takes a while to connect, then transfers one picture kinda quickly, then it repeats that process for the remaining pictures. What is the proper way to configure a Toshiba Flashair? Or is there a better way to connect multiple external devices to my A7III?
  7. Today I started having issues with my Windows on my PC. It forced restarted a couple times without any prompt and updated. I took a look and saw something that I never saw before. "Some settings are managed by your organization". I never noticed it before and it has locked several settings throughout windows. There is a huge list of policies that were set and they are all under 'Mobile Device Management'. I'm going through the internet and seeing what people are saying. So far I've messed with gpedit some, but no luck yet. The windows account is an 'Education' account from my college, but I never had this issue until today. Any idea's why I'm getting a bunch of policies suddenly on my pc? I really don't want to reset my pc if I don't have to. Here is the list
  8. I logged into here a couple weeks later to see this haha. I didn't know cd's couldn't hold above 22.05khz. I think I'm one of the 'unlucky' few that can hear really high frequencies that I don't want to hear. Stuff like electricity on an ugly circuit or when you hear a bad recording in a show when the voice actors mic has an insanely high pitch when they talk. Maybe I should go to a few more heavy metal concerts without earplugs.
  9. I wass going through some of my old ripped cds and noticed all the songs on one of my albums have a consistent 'issue'. They all have a cutoff at ~20.5khz, however, there still is a decent amount of data above 20.5. Obviously, if there was a solid shelf with nothing above it would look like a mp3 transcode, but it obviously isnt. Is this considered a bad recording from the studio?
  10. When I log into the sub user, other than the folder I restricted, I was able to browse my C Drive like normal and could see and open everything like I could as an admin
  11. This has probably been covered a million times, but articles are rather confusing on what their tutorials allow. I'm just trying to set up my pc so I have my regular admin and a separate user account with limited access. I want him to be able to install programs, but not see any of the stuff I have on my admin account. When I made the guest account all my programs were immediately available to that account, along with all files. I was able to go and limit access to some folders, but I feels there's a better way to block stuff. So in the end I want to create a separate account that can't access my folders, programs, or system files. However have some dedicated space for himself to download and run a few programs. I will be remote accessing my admin account with something like teamviewer and he will work on his stuff locally. How do I get this properly configured.
  12. Hmmm, it looks like the default colors don't show it very well, but it's really obvious with gray, teal, and pink so far.
  13. I've been using this Acer Predator XB271Hu for around a year and just noticed this dark area along the left edge of the screen. I don't think it's a burn in spot since there isn't really anything that I leave up that matches it. I really don't want to have to warranty it, but I will if I have to. I restarted my pc and monitor, hoping it would be a bug, but no change, unless it's a displayport issue. You can see the darker shade about 1/3 of the gray area from the left. Any ideas about what it is or how to fix it?
  14. This is an old pc I built for my dad many years ago, I has an Asrock H87m pro 4 motherboard with an i3 cpu and a 128gb samsung ssd. Previously, apparently it was having issues where it wouldn't wake up out of sleep mode. I ended up just changing it so the screen only turns off and doesn't go to sleep. A few days later however I can't get the system to boot anymore. According to him it's been dying slowly. The system would shut down and when he booted it up next it would say the system failed to boot multiple times. I tried resetting the cmos, but without spare parts, that's all about I could do for now. My guess is the motherboard might be dying and my best bet for cheap would be to risk buying ebay and grab an old h87 board from there. Any ideas for a solution?
  15. I was just wondering, since the frequencies are pretty much set for this chip, is there going to be much of a difference between a high end x570 vs a decent x470 or something cheaper? I kind of want to assume a higher end board would naturally get better, more consistent boosts.
