    ok forgot..sorry also added 2 gskill sniper 2133 modules and manged to overclock to 4.1 without a voltage increase.

    ok to necro this once again i ended up dremeling out some metal to fit a corsair 850 watt psu .threw in an h100 still cant contian the a10s heat i think that this is mostly due to a weak ass exhaust fan(top 120s on rad are pulling in air

    Dat psu for sure. a friend is a huge antec fan and that psu is super quiet and powerful to boot.

    ok triple post i know but i also added a sapphire r7 250 ,and a 2tb drive i pulled out of my old server

    oh yeah also found out that the mobo i have (asrock a88x itx+) has components in the way of the back plate... so i couldnt use a hyper 212 plus i had laying around.

    so just to update this thread... even with proper case cooling.. im thermal throttling on the apu (*cough* told ya *cough*) but aside from that dual graphics ended up working ok to get me buy and it was a fun experience . i will be popping in a better gpu and liquid cooling the apu and seeing how high i can clock it..im also having memory issues.. i might have some bad sticks of 2400(first time ever with Mushkin this happened) i will have to replace them because they only run @1866 but other than those two issues i haven't had anything major happen. just figured id update *shrugs*

    like i said maybe later down the road i expand a little. im doing this build because i haven't done a apu build yet and i needed something between my a6 laptop and monster desktop (coming up on a 95 lbs now) for toting to a friends house and technically i WILL be cooling both the cpu and gpu B)

    i said what it was for right in the post you quoted! :blink: just a portable light gaming machine to throw in the car and head to a friends house with.. my laptops a6 is getting a little behind a prodigy is massive? :huh: and i may throw a grphix card in later?

    yeah i tried fixing it twice now...not sure why its doing what its (not) doing and yes im fine with that in fact im only going to be running a single 240 gig ssd and MAYBE wd scorpio for storage(really for games i already have a nas) and i havent had an (internal) optical drive in god knows how long.
