  1. 3d printing newbie here, need some advice. I recently got an extruder upgrade for my Ender 3 Pro. Because of this, I knew I should calibrate my e-steps (with Pronterface). Until now, I've been printing from an SD card without issues, so this was the first time I connected my printer via USB. However, when I did this and opened Pronterface, no printer seemed to be connected. Further investigation showed that the printer as "USB Serial" in Device Manager, and I was told that there were no installed drivers. I then tried to install the drivers that came with the factory SD card, but Device manager tells me that "Windows could not find drivers for your device". I then tried using official FTDI drivers, and even tried using a different windows PC, but I ended up achieving the same results. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I can fix this issue? It's a v3 as well, if that helps
  2. Thank you so much for your help! That's EXACTLY what I needed!
  3. So I have an HP 25x 144hz monitor, and an RTX 2060 rig. I have the stock HDMI 1.2 cable plugged in, but it only does 60hz. I now realize the fastest failsafe cable would be a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. My problem is that I can find NO information whatsoever on the DP port version on the RTX 2060, or for my monitor. Do I need to downgrade to DP 1.2, or use HDMI 2.0?? Any links or info would be greatly appreciated! Also sorry if there is any confusion, I didn't know whether to put this in the Monitor or GPU section.
  4. So recently, my primary rig was DESTROYED, due to my little cousin spilling water all over it, so I brought out my mid end gaming rig. I realized that it still has a 1st gen Ryzen 1700X, and a B-350 plus motherboard. With the release of 3rd gen Ryzen, should I buy a X-470 motherboard and use my 1700X until it burns out (then get a ryzen 3rd gen) or should I just go for the X-570 and splurge on the new 3900X.
  5. So I am at the point of building my gaming rig where I have to decide which GPU I want to purchase. I have a Sceptre 144Hz 1080p curved monitor (not ultrawide, so its 16:9) and I was wondering which GPU I should get for it. I have a top budget of $325 for it. NVidia or Radeon is fine. Thanks!
  6. So I'm building a new AMD rig, and I am trying to decide my storage setup. I was originally going to go for a 120 gig M.2 boot drive, and have 2 hard drives running RAID for storage, but I wanted to know if and how I could use RAID 0 for the drives. I have two WD Blue 1TB drives (3.5", 7200 RPM). Any help appreciated.
  7. So a family member of mine is hosting a large party, and only has around 15-25 Mb/s of wifi speed. There's going to be at least 10 people simultaneously connected to the wifi, so are there any ways I could increase the bandwidth JUST for this party?. Anything 50 dollars or less would be good.
  8. This is like my third post, but I'm cloning partitions to my 500GB Seagate SSHD, and when I try to clone the Recovery partition on my main drive, it says "Not enough space". Its only a 1gb partition, but I have 5GB free for that partition. I'm using Macrium Reflect. Could this be a permission error, or could it be a compatibility error? Please help.
  9. What type of SSD are you looking for? M.2, SATA. I would say for a mid-range M.2 PCIe, a WD-BLACK NVMe M.2 250GB would be good. For SATA SSD, I would say an 860 EVO 500GB, again around 80ish dollars.
  10. Hello. I will try to make this question as uncomplicated as possible, but I have a 2.5" 500GB Seagate SSHD that I would like to clone off of a 2.5" 1TB Hitachi drive. I already know that you can't clone a drive of smaller capacity from a bigger one, but I wanted to clone a certain partition on the 1TB drive. Would this be possible? (Partition I would like to clone is (New Volume D:) Here's a picture of my screen. (At the time, my 500GB drive was not connected, so it does not register. Ignore Disk 1 Also I don't have the largest budget for cloning software, so a free one would be nice. Thanks!!!!
  11. I will try to make this as simple a question as possible, but I have a 1TB Hitachi 2.5" HDD that I have partitioned with files that I would like to transfer to a Seagate 2.5" 500GB SSHD. I know that the Seagate drive is a smaller capacity, but I was wondering if I could clone one specific partition with system and personal files, being the partition is 364 GB. (As of the time of the post, I am currently transferring the files to the partition) Any help would be appreciated, here's a picture below (D: is the partition I want to transfer). A free software would be preferable, as I don't have the largest budget for software.
