Jzan reacted to Luxzio22 in My PC wont turn on after I moved my case fans
I had the same problem after reconnecting my fans to tidy up. Does your system start and then shut down or just refuse to start at all? Mine would start (fans would almost start moving) then stop as if a power limit was reached or something.
Turns out the problem was that the fans were connected to the wrong headers from the case and switching them around solved the problem. You may have done something similar and connected Fan A headers / cables to Fan B's.

I was going to say yes until you mentioned M.2.
Technically you could use electrical tape or possibly double-sided foam tape but both in the long term would leave unremovable residue.
I can't immediately think of any around the house solution. Those drives don't leave many DIY mounting options. You might be able to rig a paperclip somehow but I'd only use the ones with a plastic coating.
Outside of this I'd opt to do it right and source M.2 screws. Unfortunately there's no universal standard so you have to find the ones appropriate for that motherboard.

I always recommend a Noctua cooler. Check out the link below and scroll all the way to the bottom to see 4 options that should all be great but find the one to at first your needs best. If you aren’t interested in a Noctua cooler let me know and I can try and find some other options.

To the best of my knowledge I think it should be just fine. Like others have said a 6700k should not be too hard to cool.

Both should be decently easy to assemble since they are just air coolers so just applying thermal paste, putting on some fans, and attaching it to the CPU. And of course if you do run into any trouble you can always ask for help here.

Depends on how much you wanna spend. The 6700k is, by modern standards, not that hard of a chip to cool. If you're not planning on overclocking, the Vetroo V5 is a nice cooler for very cheap (~$25). If you want a better cooler so you can overclock the crap out of that CPU (as you should with a 6700k), the Scythe Fuma 2 is ~$60 and is basically the best performing cooler in the price range, able to keep up with a 12700k without much issue. Both of them will outperform your current AIO though.

It won't go to the local drives of the laptops, its going from the sd card to the processor to the external drive.

Look closer. This is from a gmail.com address, not from teamviewer.com. This is a scam attempt.

It really depends on how much you are willing to spend companies like Origin PC and others are good options. I highly recommend watching the secret shopper series on LTT to see what your experience with a pre-built company will be like. Hope this helps

Yea it does not look very bad, I would say don't worry about it. But if you really are worried just check up on it every once and a while, if something changes then you can do something. But really your fine

I think I got everything... if you have any questions, ask below
------
The first step is to decide what you want your setup to be, as you'll need to know how many parts to order. There is a few different options, and once you've chosen, click on the parts list for your respective setup.
1. Single Camera w/o hub server
Parts list: Pros Least expensive setup Cons Lower attainable FPS/res 2. Single Camera w/ hub server - *RECOMMENDED*
Parts list: Pros allows for future expandability higher attainable FPS/res more reliable vs. no hub Cons costs more (you have to buy a second Raspi) 3. Multiple Cameras w/ hub server - *RECOMMENDED*
Parts list: Pros higher attainable FPS/res more reliable vs. no hub Cons cost (lol, 2 cameras + hub is still cheaper than a Nest cam) 4. Multiple cameras w/ a desktop computer as a hub
This is a setup that you can build, but I haven't investigated it yet, so stay tuned on this.
My recommendation is to have a hub server regardless of the number of cameras to ensure the best possible image quality, but if your budget doesn't permit, a single camera w/o a hub server can still work decently.
Click on the header for your desired setup to see the actual DIY steps.
