  1. correct! but on the i7 it works so the motherboard seems happy. and also they are locked in bios at x8 gen 4 speed. fully supported by the mb spec.
  2. using a 1600w evga psu. got a custom bios version from evga they tested. should be the same as 2.04 on their website. i7 works with both custom version and version 2.04.
  3. Hi, I'm currently lost troubleshooting my i913900k and dual 4090 with 128 GB ram. so with an i713900kf it works perfectly. everything works with no problems. but as soon as I put the i9 in it starts to not properly use gpu2. as soon as I request some information from it, or plug a display into it, it starts to flicker black and crash or switch to the igpu (using gpu1 as a passthrough). so if that happens I lose both the GPUs. I tried everything I can think of and my colleagues can think of. bios version-latest driver-latest only boot with 32 Gb ram. only boot with gpu2 (doesn't work) only boot with gpu1 (works) and it seems like the CPU might be dead, but uhm that would suck. please let me know if you need any additional info to help me troubleshoot some! thank you in advance! parts: mb: evga z690 ram: ddr5 4800mhz 32gb sticks (total 128gb) cpu: i913900k (i have an i713900kf for troubleshooting) gpu: 4090 nvidia reference storage: m.2 ssd (in bus 3)
  4. Budget (including currency): not final and set but somewhure under and arround 6k (eu) willing to go under or over if it makes sence for the build. Country: netherlands. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: blender, maybe some adobe after effects, other than that light stuff. Other details (it will get a m.2 2tb ssd and other than that run from a nas. and it will highly probably be a pre-build by steigerdynamics.): so the big question is. i could opt in for 2x a 4090, but since nvlink is dead i honoustly don't know if it would even make sense. i could also do 2x 3090, but that feels wrong (the more vram is nice tho because nvlink). another option would be getting an a6000 but this option is starting to reach out my budget way to far. other parts: ddr5 128gb i9 13900k motherboard z690/z790 (also could use some advise here if there is something i could be missing here.)
  5. hi there i am using the ryzen 7 2700x with 32gb of corsair ram paired with an rx vega 64. when i pre render, or fully render in anny of the adobe applications my cpu/gpu usage doe not spike at all above 40% usually the cpu stays at around 12% usage -when rendering-. i find this rather weird and would like to know if this is normal. i have tried: opencl/software different render formats i know: its not ram related since it always happends and my ram still has more than 16gb allocated to premier (in the preferences) I hope someone out there knows an option of what this could be, please help me out kind regards Andreas FPV
  6. Hello everyone This is my first question here. At idle my pc uses 5,7 - 6,1GB of ram. Since i have 32gb of it, this isnt a killer for me. but it does leave me with a lot of questions because my previous pc had 4gb and never had ram filled at idle. if someone know what this could be / how to fix it thank you in advance :D
