  4. There is no legacy/UEFI toggle in the BIOS. Or do you mean I have to get into the bios/uefi via the usb-drive with the Windows install?
  5. I have got the blank SSD drive. I succeeded in booting from a USB-drive with a Windows installing. I'm now trying to install Windows to the SSD, hope that helps...
  6. After using the CMOS-jumper the BIOS got reset to default settings, thats probably the thing that started this problem ? I can't revert to previous user settings. Selecting default settings, save and exit give me that "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected device and press a key" screen.
  7. I've tried, but no luck unfortunately. Strange thing is, I can boot from a USB-drive and during the installation proces the SSD is being detected. I'm trying to install Windows on the SSD, but its stuck at 37% for about an hour. I'll let it run overnight to see if it helps.
  8. I've got a pre-built Acer Aspire TC-603 (i5-4440, 8GB ram, 1TB hard disk, Windows 10 Home) to which i've added an GTX-1050ti. I've been planning to add an SSD to my PC. In order to remove the bios-password I used the CLR_CMOS jumper on the motherboard. The password was removed and I got acces to the bios setup utility. After saving and closing I got a black screen with: "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected device and press a key". I've never had any boot-problems before. It looks like the hdd is still being detected by the bios, It is listed in the Miscellaneous tab as "sata port1", but I can't see it in the "hard disk drive priority". I guess the bios does recognize the drive, just not as a boot drive? Does anyone have some advise for me? Greetings!
