  1. Okay, after watching videos on it, I know how to read the white falshing LED. BIOS is definitly updated. However after installing the CPU and one stick of RAM, both the CPU and RAM led are still on. I guess I'll have to RMA this board.
  2. BIOS on the mainboard should be updated to Version 7D76vA41, which is the latest from MSi support page. I say should, because I don't understand the feedback from the white LED in the top left next to the flash button.
  3. When there is no CPU, RAM, GPU installed I still both both the CPU and RAM LED on, no other debug led.
  4. Thank you, I just called MSI, and they mentioned that I can try to flash a new BIOS. Will see what this path holds.
  5. Hey guys, I'm currently working on my new build, however I have stuggled quite a bit until now, however the moment of truth came, and my debug LED's on the mainboard showed errors on both the CPU and RAM while the fans are spinning. I have worked on a fair computers and servers before, however I never came across any major issues I was unable to sort out on my own. This I the build I'm trying to complete: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/k9cBk9 My troubleshooting steps this far included the following: Reseating both RAM modules -> no change Swapping and reseating RAM modules -> no change Swapping RAM Slots (to the one you shouldn't popularise first) -> no change Checking if CPU is installed correctly -> triangle is alinged correctly, also AM5 is the most user friendly socket -> no change Checking each RAM module individually -> no change Checking the socket for bent pins, no-> no change While I have multiple DDR4 RAM kits, I have neither a spare DDR5 kit, nor an AM5 CPU to troubleshoot further. Is there anything I can troubleshoot further before get spare parts in in order to rule out the issues? My best guess is, that neither the CPU nor the RAM are defect, but rather the mainboard, as I think this would be much more probable than having two new components are dead on arrival. Kind regards Solarleuchte
  6. Thank you for reassuring, however I just checked the box from the PSU and found more cables including the 2nd 12V CPU connector.
  7. Hey guys, it's been quite some time, when I did my last build and I would rather make sure that I do everything correctly rather than not. I'm currently building my new computer and I just saw, that my chosen motherboard: MSI B650M Mortar has two 12V CPU power connectors. I want to run it with a Ryzen 7 7700X, and therefore went with a BeQuiet Pure Power 12M 1000W as it features the 600W PCIe connector. However the PSU only supplies one 12V CPU cable. As the 7700X is not the most power hungry CPU of the current lineup, I was thinking that running only one would be fine, but I'd rather be sure. Am I good, or should I halt my build and get a different PSU? Kind regards Solarleuchte
  8. @BigRom Thank you for that link, i couldn't find something like that on my own. So it really appears to be another broken mainboard.
  9. @Windows7ge I used different Sets on RAM 1x 8GB DDR3 1600MHz from GSkill 2x 4GB DDR3 1600MHz from TeamGroup 4x 8GB DDR3 1600MHz from CorsairVengence (switched them Round, since the Board one has two DDR3 Slots) All sticks work perfectly in other systems.
  10. Hey guys, so this is actually my first post reaching out to the smart minds of the internet for a problem that should be easily solved, but i dont get it. I count on you. I bought an ASRock J3455M motherbord for my new project. Mount it in a nice case, connect everything up and then press start. Fans start spinning, but then, no signal on my monitor and that damn sound, the internal speaker shout 5 short beeps at me. Figure, I might have connect something wrong, so i replace all exchangeable parts (RAM, PSU, PCIe Cards & SSD) piece by piece. Always the same result. 5 short beeps during. Next step for me was to replace all the parts with known good parts from other computers, still the same. Figuring i might have bricked the boards with bad components, i tried all the parts i used in the beginning in other systems, resulting in them working perfectly. So i was sure that it was the motherbord. Due to the fact it being brand new, i replaced it over my reseller took the new one home, but you guessed it right. 5 short beeps on startup. No videosignal. I consulted the manual, which sadly didnt inclunde an explanation on errorcodes or common troubleshooting. I also consulted Dr. Google which led to many thread solving 5 beep problems for different board, and due to the fact all had a different issue, or were simply for other board from other brands. I wrote an email to the techsupport from ASRock but i still got no answer from them, so this is basicly my last resort. I thank everyone who puts efford into this for your help, and hope for the best. I will provide any information you may need. Greetings from Germany PS: The Fans run on low rpm when i press the power button, but once the 5 beeps occurr the speed up to max rpm.
