  1. I had planned to get a msi z790 pro-a wifi ddr5 motherboard to go with a 13700kf and some high speed ram like 6400 or better. I ordered the cpu, hd and ram then went to buy the msi z790 pro mb. Well the mb was out of stock and cant find one after 3 weeks of looking. So I thought about a msi z690 carbon/force mb with ddr5 ram. Or a gigabyte z790 aorus elite ax mb. So Im at a stand still on what mb to get. It would be great if you guys could help/suggest a motherboard. parts I reusing-msi 6900xt, 360mm rad, and case.
  2. My opinion is in regards to a 9th gen. cpu that works out of the box with a 9th gen. mb that you can pick up anywhere that you don't have to use a previous gen cpu to update with. I agree many mbs needs bios updates.
  3. I read this thread and am pretty disappointed now with AMD 3000. So if I don't buy a x570 mb, I will have to try and borrow a cpu! I don't see how this can be better than buying a intel cpu!
  4. Thanks for the replies. @BIGRON, The team ram you suggested, is that a cheap ram? Also the storage, is adata good? On newegg it has fair reviews. Also why is M2 better than a regular ssd? What is different between a b450 and x470 mb?
  5. I will need everything. As I said I picked out a case and have a 1070ti. So what I need help with is to find the right parts, mb, ram, psu, cooler, ssd etc. I will look at the mb's you suggested. What is the difference between the b450 and x470 mb's?
  6. Hi all, I will be building a new pc in the next few weeks. Main use is games. I have been kinda seeing what AMD has to offer. If I do go with AMD I was thinking something like the 3700x, I have been using intel for many years now. Mainly I7's. My concern with the 3700x, will be, will be if I can get one. I know these things will be going like hot cakes. My first thought was a I7-9700k. If I go with AMD, I hear the MB;s are really pricey! This is what I will have and want. I have a 1070ti, and am pretty sure Its performance is ok for 1080@144hz. I currently have 2 ssd's one 120gb (OS) 500gb storage (500gb will be used in another pc). I would like to use 1 1tb ssd for all, but this is up for discussions. My budget is $1500 US max. I have picked out a case I would like. The case, cooler master masterbox MB511. Compatibility is my main issue. All feedback is appreciated.
