  1. I don’t play minecraft but I will try it out if you send me links on how to set it up.
  2. My work just got Ryzen Threadripper 5995WX PRO (64C/128T) for *reasons I’m not comfortable to mention* and I’ve been having a blast with running benchmarks, recording temps & acoustic. The fun burns out really quick since I’ve already ran almost everything I wanted. What would y’all try with this if you have a chance? Cheers!
  3. You can't add OS on a drive with data already there without losing those, as far as I know. Best solution that I can think of is, copy all the data from B: to C: first. Clone the OS Drive and install it on B: drive. Then, copy back the data from C: to B:. Format C: for 2nd PC. There might be OS license issue since you're gonna be 2PC with 1 license. Cheers!
  4. It all come down to what your usage gonna be. If you're like me who play game without streaming or running a bunch of chrome tabs and apps in background, I'm sure 6C is enough for it. You won't be getting the best of the best performance but it's already on good spot for gaming. If you have to open a bunch of software beside game+discord, better cores might looks better. It depends on how you gonna be using. Cheers!
  5. It would be great if the do. Unfortunately, they don't. Lenovo is the only one that I know of.
  6. We just wanted to know how much the price difference between 2 difference specs. I'm planning to upgrade the RAM to 512GB if we were to choose that.
  7. Download and install windows 10 and click troubleshoot in Setting > License and it will auto-fill the key that you already have on windows 7. If it's the key that you want, try the below steps. 1. Go to https://gist.github.com/craigtp/dda7d0fce891a087a962d29be960f1da 2. Copy/Paste that source code to notepad and save as .vbs 3. Run it and it will pop up the ID and serial numbers. ※Tried it just now before commenting just to make sure that works.
  8. Are these prices look okay? Anyone know how much 5995WX would cost if it were purchasable like previous gen? - - - We need 5995WX for some work for the office and the only way I know how to get it is through Lenovo. So, I contacted them and ask for quotations for lowest and specific higher spec. Lowest : 11,000$ Spec : 5995WX / Windows10Pro / CastlePeakV1.2 Mobo / 8GB DDR4 3200MHz / Quadro P1000 / 256GB NVMe / 1000W PSU. Higher : 25,800$ Spec : 5995WX / Windows10Pro / CastlePeakV1.2 Mobo / 512GB DDR4 3200MHz / RTX A6000 48GB / 1TB NVMe / 2TB HDD / 1000W PSU. - - - ※This is for architecture 3D company in Japan. - - -
  9. Thanks @mariushm . It's looking great. Is there a thing as PCIe 4.0 External SSD with 2~3GB/s read and write?
  10. I've made 2 of external SSD with M.2 (TREBLEET TRECNC583) and 2.5" (can't remember). Both are great, usable without error, bigger and faster in term of storage and speed. I need to make another one. And I want to make bigger storage with M.2 speed. Anyone have any recommendations for the Enclosure case + SSD combo? Thanks in advanced.
  11. We don't have Ebay in Japan as far as I know. But there are 2nd hand market like Ebay which I can't put my trust in those tbh.
  12. Temp readings are way more than what it suppose to be. Fans running at full speed thinking those are the real cpu temp. How do I fix this? -- > Tried setting Fan Speed to 900 RPM manually. Didn't work. > Tried setting Fan Speed to 50% manually. Didn't work. > Tried start / restart the corsair services and update the AIO firmware. Failed and can't update. > CPU temp reading in HWinfo is the same 35*C. -- Note : I've already ordered Scythe Fuma 2 for the replacement for the mean time.
  13. Thanks but I'm looking forward to build it myself rather then the pre-build ones since this is a rare chance for me to add some experience in pc building. Would love to try to run Windows on VM but I'm not that familiar with linux. Thanks for the input but I know the down sides and still want to go with the Threadripper. Some of the team member use CPU rendering and those 64 cores are not gonna be a waste tbh. Can't go with EPYC 7702 since those are much more rare than the threadripper ones. (And, to be completely honest, I know nothing about it) Thanks for the mobo and ram recommendations.
  14. We already got 5950X. It's amazing but I thought we could go higher since we already got the budget. (pure luck btw) Thank you. I thought I should for the next gen too but I'm a bit afraid to wait since AMD didn't give out even a hint of that next gen.
  15. Budget (including currency): 3 million yen (roughly 26,000$) Country: Japan Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3D visualization, Simulation, Rendering, Modeling, A bit of benchmarking for personal satisfaction. Parts list that I'm thinking right now : Threadripper 3990X / 512GB DDR4 3200MHz / 2 or 4 way SLI of RTX 3090 - - - I talked my way out to get a permission from the company to build Threadripper system for the team. I'm still hesitating to pull the trigger to buy the parts due to 1) New 4000 series of threadripper might announce right after I bought it 2) Not sure what Mobo / RAM / SSD / Cooler / Extra Fans combination is the best 3) Not sure if I should use all the budget that I'm allowed 4) Don't have the trust in myself to be able to build threadripper system (Even though I've built "normal" 40+ ATX Builds in recent 2 years) - - - Any parts list suggestions (or talk me out of this) would be a bit of help for me. Thanks in advance.
  16. She's good enough to be a carry. I would still calculate my moves if she's the carry on the other side. She's much more scary when she's a support. If you wanna play with it, I would suggest to pair with someone with a stun / stuns on your side. Try to aim for the first initiates just before your teammate can CC. I would try to get a BKB since the early state though.
  17. Had almost the same problem with different Bluetooth keyboards in the past. Most of which are the the connectivity issues. Delays after pressing a key. Press "t" once and a bunch of t's got typed down into text.
  18. There's a high chance your CMOS battery is dead. How to detect a CMOS battery failure : Computer is refusing to boot the Operating System.
  19. For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm one of "I can't connect to wifi. Send IT." group. I can still understand the overall of what you're explaining but it's clear that it is out of what I can do. Luckily, I got permission to use the professional service with somewhat huge budget. What a relief. I'm still gonna try what I can do with these information. Hope I learn a thing or two about network.
  20. This part... I just felt a bit of trauma from my past being yelled at by everyone when I was a child. Thankfully, I can still understand what you wanna says. This part is what I think I really need right now! Thanks a lot. I still have a ton to take in but at least I know what I have to do from now. THANK YOU!!!
  21. Sorry for the late replies. I've been trying to learn as much as I can in these 2~3 days. What you said about the plug-n-play might be right. It seems there's no easy-to-setup devices that I'm trying to do. Gonna look for the Fortigate ones though. Thanks a lot.
  22. Me being somewhat in charge of this is already a bad planning. But I'm gonna try my best to at least solve our current problem. We're gonna hire someone professional to make a complete setup for the long run though. So, no worries, I guess.
  23. I understand what you are saying. But my situation is that each floor (each teams) wants a different ISPs assigned to them. I'm not trying for a load balancer. I just want a device that would take 5 (or more) ISP inputs and those connections can access each other networks (NASs / Printers / WebGUI Connections / etc... ). I'm look into which device can do it with ease but still not found one yet.
  24. Thanks for the info. I'll start looking for those devices. I'm sure I gonna need someone with experience to help me with this. As for your question, I can't get rid of these since we already have this and we have to make use of these no matter what. We have multiples of these because some floor have some VIP room which they don't want their "speeds" slow down because of other employees. Again, thanks a lot.
