I recently bought a 2nd hand Corsair RM1000X for less than half the retail price (paid 600 Hong Kong Dollars, originally around 1300-1400 HKD). It looks like it's in good condition, and it passed the paperclip test. However, I don't have another motherboard to test the PSU on, so I was wondering if whether there are chances that a PSU can pass the paperclip test, and still not work in a system? Also, how likely are high end PSUs like a Corsair RM1000x likely to break in the use span of around 8 months (1st hand seller use)?
