if you do buy the BenQ just buy at 960 and it'll be amazing. but if you stick with the 970 get one of the Korean 1440p monitors (xstar, qnix, etc). Because I personally think 1440p is better then higher refresh, but it's up to you.

The monitor will never hinder your GPU performance, unless you change the resolution (1080p, 1440p, 4k). The difference between those two monitors is the latency, witch means how fast the monitor can process the image being sent to it from the GPU. If you do buy a 970 either get a 1440p or 1080p at 120/144Hz. Or else you'll just be wasting your money, if you only want one 1080p panel at 60Hz just get a 960, it does just fine at 1080p.

On my 970 ill probaly do what Jay (jayz2cents) did with his fans and punch out rings for the center of the fan, either white or orange.

I've gotten back into CSGO and now that O'm seeing Asiimov skins I decided I wanted to have a computer in that color scheme. The first round of photos is from a graphics card i had laying around (7770) that I'm using as a tester and just to see what it looks like. Things that I will change for my actual computer: 1. Will not do at 11 PM at night 2. Not go to the grocery store I work at and buy spray paint, masking tape, and cat food. You get weird looks from your co-workers. 3. Will use proper car masking tape not blue painters tape (bled too much). 4. Will make sure I tape off or peel off the stickers on my EVGA 970 perfectly. 5. And lastly take my time. Overall though I am pleased that it turned out as a 10 foot mod as Linus put it with his new Mobo, but my 970 and Z87 Gryphon Armor I will take my time and get different tape.

So how much money would i have to throw at you for that prototype?

I went with the stock cooler because I got it a year or so ago when that was all you could get, hence why in the next few weeks i'll have a HG10 or a new card.

Downsized Gaming PC My gaming computer with: SilverStone PS07B Fractal Design Newton 1000W Asus Z87 Gryphon Intel Core i5 4670K Corsair H100i Sapphire 290X 8GB of Samsung RAM Kingston V300 120GB SSD WD Black 2TB HD Still debating on buying a second 290X Need a HG10 but waiting on GTA V too see if it's a Nvida or AMD optimized game. Probaly will get a ASUS 970 or 980 if I do Switch. As you can see my H100i fits perfectly. Also need to redo the Cabling and get extensions or learn how to sleeve because I don't like the multicolored wire. Stuffing the SSD and hard drive in the 5 1/4 bay. Because of the H100i sticking up in it the HD isn't screwed in, so we'll see how that pans out.
