  1. My sense of humor is definitely not my strong point. I did not mean to come across this way. I do see your point on the poll. I put it up without really putting much thought into it. I fixed the vote choices to make it non judgemental and balanced.
  2. Isn't that just an opinion? Either way, thank you for voting on the poll with shit choices to chose from.
  3. I personally had a blast last Friday watching the live stream on on Luke's Twitch channel. Nothing better then seeing you all battled your way to glory. Maybe this could be the a way to revive Channel Super Fun, or just be additional content for LMG Live Stream.
  4. I do not get the big up roar about clickbait, but then I realized that the use of the term clickbait has been taken way out of context. Wikipedia says it best, "Clickbait is a form of false advertisement". What I get from this is, titles that are not relevant, nothing less, nothing more. I see way too many criticize topics in the name of clickbait. But lets take into account that it is not clickbait if you click on it and find out that you do not agree with the opinion or views on the title. Or if someone is using a better advertising phrase to increase traffic taking views away from your content.. Sounds like you may need a better writing team. As long as s title is on topic or relevant to the content, then kudos for great wording. A matter of fact, lets get away from the term clickbait unless it is truly relevant. Maybe we can just say, stop being good at using words that take attention away from me. Oh, that would make you sound like, well you know what. And don't scoff, you know who you are. 0_0 If I get a lot of negative replies, then I will sit back, crack my knuckles, kick my feet up and enjoy knowing that i got my point across. For those who are smart and already know what the difference is, enjoy the show because I just "baited" this topic, with a click?
  5. You are probably right. I hope someone that has tried it sees this post and gives some facts. Thanks for the input and there is a little love back for the girl who loves to love. Say that 5 times fast haha
  6. I am reaching out for some insight from anyone that has inside info on Cloutpay. I have researched online after a co worker reached out for some guidance on if this is a scam or something that could be the next hot cryptocurrency on the rise, which does not mean much after the last crytpo-crash. It will be interesting to see if anyone has gotten involved in this.
  7. So we were in the middle of a WAN live stream and it cut off all of a sudden, this was the picture we were left with LOL
  8. What does “Still waiting for root device” means ? Its very simple, it means that the source from which you’re booting is not detected properly in other way it can be explained as the operating system was not able to locate a driver/kext for your Hard disk/DvD Drive/USB The info posted above is from the source linked below, hope it helps out. How to resolve Still waiting for root device
  9. I would say Linux is the better option for any machine. What you will need to decide is what Distro and Desktop. Ubuntu is a fantastic Distro and anything you search on the internet with the word Ubuntu normally comes up with a topic with a solution. If your focus is gaming then for starters you do not want to run them on Virtual Machine at all. The Virtual Machine will kill your performance making the gaming experience poor and higher resource demanding games. I have attempted gaming on many Distro's and even had the same proprietary drivers and versions of WINE, Winetriicks etc on them using Lutris. What I can tell you is, Pop OS, which is pretty much Ubuntu, is polished for Gaming and since it is pretty much the same as your Ubuntu all help guides from Ubuntu work on it also. Pop OS uses does use the Gnome Desktop, which may take some time to get use to. You can edit the look and feel with Gnome Tweaks and Dconf Editor to turn my desktop into the look and feel that works for me. Lutris is the Key with gaming. You will need to make sure to get the dependencies. So far the only one I had to get was Vulkan which Lutris directed me right to it and I installed it in like a minute. Other then that, I have installed and played all my favorite games including World of Warcraft which I could not get to work on any other Distro / Desktop even following all the guides. But on Pop OS it just worked and now I am ready to play Classic when it comes out August 26th Hope this is somewhat helpful, check out the link below to find your games and see if they show as working correctly. 10. I would highly suggest running on a secondary HDD because Microsoft "Accidentally" likes to delete secondary OS that are not Microsoft during major updates. This will also prevent several other known issues dual booting can present.
  11. This may be a good place to start to make sure that you are setup correctly. https://forum.manjaro.org/t/how-do-i-install-this-dxvk-thing/57153
  12. Any XFCE desktop should run fine on it. Peppermint would be my choice though, it is an amazing desktop imo
  13. I would definitely throw Linux on it. Linux Mint Cinnamon runs pretty well on older 64 bit systems if you have 2-4g of memory with your processor. XFCE is a bit lighter and would probably fly on your system. Either way, that is not a gaming machine, so for basic everyday use for online, email and social media, Linux will give you a much better experience using way less resources since background processing is reduced dramatically. on that machine and do pretty much the same thing any windows system would give you. And Windows 7 is no longer supported in January so there is that.
  14. I heard that System76 has done a fantastic job with Pop! OS. I have not actually given them a try, but I may have to see if this is more my answer. Thanks for sharing
  15. I agree we do not want to force anyone, Windows does a FANTASTIC job of this already . However, having Linux systems readily available where the consumer shops seems to make sense. We cannot expect the consumer to buy a new computer, go home, uninstall Windows just to install Linux. They will just keep Windows, or not even really know they had any other choice to use an alternative OS to start with. Lets face it, the average computer buyer is not building custom systems allowing them to personalize. And even ones that do will put Windows as the choice of OS because that is what they know. Many consumers still purchase in stores. This would be the best way to market to the customer. Having Linux systems next to Windows and Mac systems will give the customer the choice to choose what they like the best. Being able to test drive it gives them the chance to see that it really is a great system and may offer exactly what they were looking for. The most advertised systems run Windows Mac, or Google OS on them. People are buying the Chrome OS systems, maybe because they are cheaper, who knows. But they are in store and available for the consumer purchase and use out of the box.
