I'd personally agree and look into getting a better GPU, that will give you the best gaming increase over what you currently have. That and possibly upgrade to a gsync/freesync monitor depending on whatever manufacturer you go with. I get headaches after a couple hours if I don't play on a gsync monitor, it's probably the biggest "upgrade" I've ever made for quality of life.

If it's just shutting off it could very well be a PSU issue, Although your system only seems to be around 400W I'd recommend buying around a 750W power supply and try swapping it out and seeing if your system just shuts off again, if it continues to do so you will need to do more troubleshooting. If it was an instability problem typically you will have a BSOD vs just crapping out. But that's what I would do, just run to a local store and picking up a PSU and swapping it out.

Seems like it could be a faulty PSU, could be failing with the increased power load. I would try to swap out a different power supply and see if she will boot or not.

I don't believe you will be effected any way with 2 RAM slots, the speeds I believe would be the biggest factor, they both run on dual channel vs single/quad channel ram so I don't think you would notice any difference going with 2/4 ram slots, just future upgradability/expandability, it looks like the 2 slots max out at 64gb and the 4 at 128gb (which is complete overkill either way.

As far as mobo's go, I tend to lean towards ones that are more feature rich/more expandability, The Aurus, Pro-VDH, and TUF all have 4 ram slots, which to me would be more appealing than just 2, Narrowing that down it appears that the PRO-VDH has USB 3.1 as well as 3.0 headers, Even though the case doesn't support USB C It would be nice to have incase you decide to upgrade down the line. It also has 2 NVME drive sockets on the PRO-VDH vs just 1 on the others mentioned. Personally that is the one I think I would go with.

If you want to save money you shouldn't buy a $380 motherboard my dude.

It will work though, even if the ram is quite slow.

I would just stay on that system for a couple years and then upgrade everything if the itch gets you, no need up upgrade right now, although I get it with the urges to upgrade as soon as there is a new gen out. I wouldn't worry too much about PCIe3.0 hampering you.

Hahaha I totally get it, whenever I help build someone a system I am always jealous because I no longer have the latest and greatest and can't live with myself having 2% less processing power under the hood 🤣 I am currently waiting until the 40xx series cards to upgrade, as of late I have come to terms with keeping a system for a few years and just waiting for a couple gens to go past and really get that step up in performance. Sucks when you spend like 5k on a system and then the next year someone comes around and spends 2k and outperforms you, but alas that's just the way the PC cookie crumbles. That consumerism will get us 🤣🤣

You could lower your GPU requirements, probably a 3060ti would suffice and still give you good performance in your creative cloud/other games. Also ram could be 16 gb, I'm sure you'd likely be fine but for the small increase in price I would go with 32 still for futureproofing.

If you're looking to play a game like MSFS you will need a pretty hefty GPU, a laptop might struggle with that on mid-high settings. I would recommend budgeting more on a higher end GPU primarily as you will be working with creative cloud as well. I would say at least a 3070ti or higher (40xx series cards "coming" in the next 6 months or so, might want to hold out for those. Availability is a question mark so either way I don't think you can go too wrong depending on when you are ready to buy), Typically I would recommend an NVME 1TB drive for your system and you could add some spinny bois (HDD) for larger amounts of storage while keeping costs down. You will also probably want 32 gigs of ram if you are working with multiple heavy programs. And I would probably look for either an AMD/Intel processor with 8 cores/16 threads, anything more than that I feel you will be wasting money on a CPU/diminishing returns imo. A desktop will get you more performance/dollar and more headroom for upgrading down the line if you find some aspect is holding you back/future headroom if you aren't too worried about travelling with the system a lot. You can always store files in the cloud you might need to go in and share in person with your laptop. Hopefully that helps you out somewhat!

Edit - Here is a quick and dirty PCPartPicker build for an example I did, Obviously you can fiddle around and change out parts according to your needs.

Not sure if this will help at all but my friend bought my old Crosshair V Extreme and accidentally not installed the ram all the way, which caused it not to post, i fixed everything and then went to turn it on and it still wouldnt post. after a long time of beating my head against the wall i had to do the process to clear the CMOS (cant remember exact procedure but something like taking everything out except for a stick of ram and hitting the button...cant remember though its been a while) after i did that i put it all back together and sure enough it posted...not sure if thats whats going on but might help. Best of luck to you

I love all the criticism to apple users saying they are fanboys, and yet we are here using Android and harping on how much better it is than iOS saying anyone that uses an apple product is a sheep. I have owned just about every major flagship phone from Android and Apple and i choose to use the iPhone 6S Plus as my daily driver. TouchID is a great feature that i use on a lot of my apps, from my password manager, to all my banking applications and Amazon allow me to sign in with TouchID instead of typing out my password every time, its extremely convenient. (yes i am aware some android apps use finger print as well but not nearly as many) I love Android, but its just too fragmented for me to want to use every day, some phones have features that would be amazing, but they only work with the same phone model, which really ruins a lot of great innovations IMO.

New customers i believe cannot be signed on with a 2 yr contract and pay for a subsidized phone, however existing customers can still purchase a phone with 2 year contract. (at least for Verizon)

Probably that plastic sheet in the monitor then, everything else is all screwed/glued down pretty well. When it comes to actually damaging your device im sure its nothing to worry about, but i would probably still try and get it replaced with a different one because i know it would annoy the hell out of me having that knocking around.
