  1. Hey yall, first time long time. Hoping to see if anyone can help - this seems to be beyond my capacity. My desktop just randomly restarts - no BSOD, no error message, just goes black in the middle of tasks and restarts entirely. Seems to happen more while gaming but also happens while doing basic web browsing etc. OS - Windows 10 pro 64 bit fully updated build 19042 What OS was originaly installed on the system? - Windows 10 pro 64 bit Is the OS an OEM version - Version, I think I got the key from ebay? Age of system (hardware) - Most pieces 1.5 years if not newer Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? Yes, three times including last night (windows reset, kept personal files but removed apps) CPU model: i9 9900k Video Card model: EVGA xc Hybrid 2080 MotherBoard - Gigabyte Aorus Master Power Supply - Corsair ax1200i 1200watt System Manufacturer - me Exact model number - n/a Laptop or Desktop? - Desktop I attempted to do the resource and performance monitor step, but there the 'save as' option in performance monitor is greyed out (even as administrator). System file collection zip from the suggested app is attached. Some more notes: Attempted fixes: Reverted BIOS to stock (was overclocked successfully the last year to 5ghz 1.35v), tested PSU, tested UPS, reverted graphics card to stock (was also overclocked), check all physical connections (fans, fan hubs, RGB hubs, power cables, etc), googled to see if event viewer info could lead to a fix (did not). Aida64 stress test on the CPU and GPU for an hour did not instigate a re-creation of the problem, nor did 15 minutes in Heaven benchmark or a half hour on Furmark GPU burn-in. Ran mdsched.exe to check memory, no issues. Recent changes: Regular windows updates; windows reset 12/13/20 Operating system: Windows 10 pro 64 bit build 19042, updated completely System specs: i9 9900k, EVGA xc 2080 rtx, 4x16gb corsair vengeance at 3200mhz (xmp disabled currently, so 2333mhz), gigabyte z390 aorus master motherboard, corsair ax1200i psu, 3 m.2 ssds (boot drive is a samsung 970 pro, samsung magician says drive is healthy), 3.5" ssd, and an hdd. Additional equipment - corsair commander pro for fan/rgb control plus 2 lighting node pros, system is liquid cooled with gpu on a waterblock and cpu/mobo on a monoblock - pump works fine and temps at about 5-8C above ambient at idle - cpu/gpu don't really go beyond 45C under load. PSU is steady at about 36-38C idle and under load. Peripherals include a docking station (only really used as a usb and microSD hub), powered UBS hub, printer, wired keyboard, logitech wireless mouse, wired numpad, wired keypad. Running Bitdefender antivirus, updated yesterday. I guess additional possibly helpful info, my computer is usually on a backup UPS (cyberpower 1325vs) running to an ungrounded outlet because my house is old as shit and I haven't rewired this room yet. I had my service panel replaced and the house grounded properly in August - this could be complete coincidence but figured I would share. When the computer restarts the backup UPS doesn't do anything abnormal or trip, and it doesn't effect my wife's desktop on the same UPS (I am rewiring the room soon and putting our computers on different UPS's...like, in a week). I really have no idea if my PSU can detect a ground fault through a UPS and then decide to restart itself without any other electronics on the UPS doing the same, but figured I would put the info here. I put the system on a grounded line bypassing the UPS and it has not crashed yet, while running Aida64 for 2-3 hours; this seems too easy to be the solution, though. edit - after playing a game for about a half hour I got another sudden restart. Event viewer just shows an error "The previous system shutdown at 12:08:33 AM on ‎12/‎13/‎2020 was unexpected." and "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." There are other filemanager etc info events but nothing that I can see that definitively outlines why the system just decided to restart. Again, no BSOD, no error, no stuttering, just using the computer as usual and then a black screen, fans and lights off, and then a restart to bios splash screen. There doesn't seem to be a pattern of specific errors surrounding a critical "system rebooted unexpectedly" in event viewer. Hope someone here is smarter than me, which should be easy to achieve! @ionbasa SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip
