  1. Sorry for the long post and blurriness in the pictures. So a few months ago I was thinking of getting a 4K Blu-Ray Player for my 4K HDR TV. I only have a standard Blu-Ray player which is quite jarring on my TV.

Anyway so I was researching 4K Blu-Ray players which are quite expensive. But then I realised I had an Xbox One S which is capable of playing and upscale to 4K! So I hooked up my Xbox One S to my TV and installed the Blu-Ray Player app. I also reinstalled the app twice as well. I was testing Batman Begins on Blu-Ray for this example. I then unticked Allow 24 Hz and Allow 50 Hz according to this Reddit Post!

But the film was still being played in 1080p so I ticked those options again and still being played in 1080p. I don't understand this please help. I'm using a Toshiba 43ULA63DBS 43 inch 4K HDR TV Model BTW.

  2. @Arika S Do you have to charge the joy cons all the time? Or do they charge while docked on the Switch? Would I have to buy a screen protector while the Switch is docked? What are the dimensions while the Switch is docked with joy cons on? Does this work with the original Switch? - https://www.imore.com/how-wirelessly-use-xbox-one-controller-nintendo-switch-lite#:~:text=Connecting your Xbox One Controller,a female USB-A port.&text=Press the sync button on,with the Magic-NS Adapter.

  3. Sorry for the long post. I'm a PC Gamer really though, I did have and still have a Xbox One S. But the trouble I found was I could never make up my mind if I wanted to play on PC and Xbox. I found the choice difficult to make. Also, most Xbox games not all you can play on PC anyway.

The reason I'd like a Nintendo Switch Lite is because it's very portable and take it anywhere with you. The games are really cheap on there and there's really good exclusives e.g. The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild and also Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and so many more. You can get some games for free with tokens as well.

I'm not fussed playing on the TV because of the room I have and I want to spend $100 less compared to the original Nintendo Switch. I'd also get a grip, carrying case and a Micro SD card for it. But ideally I don't really want to spend a fortune on these.

The point really I'm trying to make is it going to be waste of money and I won't bother using it or will I've been glad that I purchased it!

What do you guys think? Please be honest and helpful.

  4. Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio - DirectSound 3D for old games! Does it work and how do you use the software? I use at the moment a HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset with Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound enabled for Half-Life, Call of Duty, Medal of Honour: Allied Assault and other games. But old games use Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio. I was wondering if you can get around that?

  5. What's your monitor make and model?

This is because I have a 144Hz AOC 24G2U and I had a CD-ROM that came with it for software called AOC G-Menu.

I had to change the refresh rate in that first then I could go into Nvidia Control Panel and change it in there.

  6. I've recently upgraded to a MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB VENTUS OC Graphics Card from a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. As you would expect, I'm getting exceptional performance in all games I have apart from Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. I'm only getting 80-90 FPS. The FPS fluctuates a lot which is a bit weird. This is epic settings so I downgraded to high settings, still the same problem. I'm using driver 446.14 which is the latest driver. Or is it that the game is not that optimised?

  7. I have a 43" Toshiba Ultra HD TV Model: 43UL5A63DB since Christmas last year.

But sometimes if I'm watching a show or a film, they start to vibrate or buzz which is really annoying.

I've yet to try this but will I need to reset it? Or do I have to do something else? Or have I got a dud unit?
