  1. This dude is running a 144hz monitor, I'd love to see your recommended way of converting that signal from DVI to DP without losing out on 144hz or any image quality. Unless you're seriously recommending somebody purchase an active converter cable for something like $100.
  2. Just get a 2070 Super, perfect price to performance ratio. I just got one and I can play all of the modern games I care about at maxed settings with 144fps locked. You will need to upgrade the monitor though since these only have HDMI and Display Port now. PSU will be fine @ 650w.
  3. Is Nick new? This is hilarious, I just don't think I've seen him around before. Good video though.
  4. People are too obsessed with the meme around the 3.5mm audio jack on phones being missing. Unless you're a high-end audiophile who only downloads their music in incredibly high bitrates and uses very expensive headphones you won't notice any difference in the audio quality by going from 3.5 to bluetooth. I'm somebody who cares strongly about their immersion when they listen to music and a recent pair of $100 wireless earbuds I purchased are just as good as or better than any wired pair I've ever had of similar price.

I'd be surprised if you could get anything closely resembling a playable framerate on that, and you definitely wouldn't be able to stream it. If your budget is $140 you should probably just buy a PS3 and get Minecraft on there.
  6. Yeah I noticed @ 8:53 in the video that Monday.com is running on the trial period, haha they didn't even get a paid-for account they could use for the video. I came to this thread just to see if anybody else noticed it too. Pretty funny. Love you LTT and the video was okay until I realized that this platform isn't actually part of your guys' workflow. Makes the whole video very corny and setup in retrospect.
  7. I just worked my way up by working progressively less shitty IT jobs until I finally got one that isn't shitty and pays me decently. No college or IT Certs.
  8. I heard it's going to get more expensive on Black Friday this year, the promotion will be for +25% extra on top of MSRP, just for Black Friday. What a bargain!
  9. I actually ordered a Ryzen under the same promotion and never got the code, lol. Generally it should be emailed out. I'll bet if you contact them and let them know they'll give you one.
  10. I've seen sites that post in demand or tough to find PC hardware at attention-drawing prices to catch hopefuls, and then they simply never ship the product. Jerk them around for weeks or months claiming it was shipped, should have been there, they'll ship another, etc until it's been too long to easily get a refund.
  11. I can't wait for this this super hyper turbo camera that hundreds of people worked on to perfect across multiple collaborating companies to release so that I can take shitty pictures of my cat being an idiot in mega HD. Every single hair he is shedding will be fully visible, every microscopic stain on my carpet will be represented. What a great future.
  12. Yeah it's not a good idea to put your real name on the internet, not at all. Use pseudonyms, different usernames, things that are hard to search for, etc. Once something is on the internet, getting it off is impossible. Depending on where your data is being hosted you might be able to request its removal, but that's probably not going to work.
  13. Wow, I'm not surprised that the value tanked after the porn ban but holy shit, that's gotta be a new record in mismanagement. Personally I only used it for porno and even then only rarely, so I haven't had a reason to login since the ban and there's no way I'm going back either.
  14. Either way if you're upset by such things then it should probably be best to just avoid it instead of exposing yourself to it and getting upset over and over again. I'm not a fan of carrots and as such, I choose not to consume them. Might be best for you to avoid comment sections like this if they make you upset to a point where you're reporting upwards of 100+ comments.
  15. Why does it matter, if you really don't like it then just ignore it. If you're easily upset by people aggressively asserting their opinions or disagreeing with each other, the YouTube comment section is really not the right place for you. Just because your disagree with these people's voices doesn't mean their voices should be silenced.
  16. Wow, you're spending an absolutely insane amount of money on things that will barely impact performance. Are you going for 64gb of memory spread across eight sticks as well as two 4TB SSDs and a 1TB NVMe SSD? Do you need SSD storage for all of that? Because if you're just concerned about bulk storage you can save hundreds by going with a high performance, reliable HDD instead and purchasing only one 4TB SSD, or even a smaller 1-2TB SSD and using the HDD for the rest. There are some really good HDDs out there and while they don't perform as fast as SSD of course, would be fine if you're just storing movies or music or whatever. You really don't need two GPUs, it's just a bad idea all around. It's a huge waste of money for almost no boost in performance and in some cases, further complications and decreases in performance depending on the game and how it supports it. This build looks like a bunch of expensive parts were thrown together kind of haphazardly. If I were you I'd define a budget for myself and reconsider where you'd get the highest yields and what kinds of things you value the most.
  17. Ridge Wallets, they're pretty cool once you get over the learning curve of using one regularly.
  18. Learn Russian. Cyka!
  19. He was just being absurdist with a comically extreme example. Why waste your energy getting upset by it
  20. Thanks for letting me know - that's kind of what I was thinking. Like lower power consumption would just equate lower temps all around but I saw some old forum posts that made me feel like I should ask first.
  21. Hey guys, I'm working on an HTPC build that's going pretty well, but now I'm trying to achieve lower temps wherever I can - it's already in a usable state but if I can swap out some hardware to make it cooler I'd be more than happy to do so. It's a mini ITX build using a Cooler Master Elite 130 case which is dimensioned in a way where it can accommodate a full-sized GPU. Because of this I ended up slotting an old GPU I had around in it for now, which was a Sapphire R9 380X. It's a pretty long card that takes up the entire side of the case but it still fits. Now, I'm curious if swapping it out for a low profile card would be beneficial to temps. Specifically I was eyeballing an MSI-branded 1050ti LP card. I understand that because LP cards have smaller dimensions they can't accommodate the larger fans that a full sized GPU could, but I'm thinking the lower wattage and extra room to breathe in the case might provide more than I would lose by switching to smaller fans. Any thoughts? TL;DR - If I want lower temps in a cramped case should I stick with a full size GPU that has two large fans or switch to an LP GPU with smaller fans but less power consumption and a smaller footprint? Thanks!
  22. Hey guys, Is there a general consensus on what the best Mini-ITX case would be for keeping your temps down? Currently I'm using a Cooler Master RC-130 with a full-sized GPU and a full-sized PSU and it overheats frequently when playing any game under load for a steady amount of time. The idle temps are fine, it just has a hard time keeping up with the airflow. I was looking at the NZXT H200i but I'm unsure if anybody else had a different recommendation they could offer. I don't do heavy gaming or anything like that on it, just some light-but-sustained 3D gaming. My price point is ~$150 and under. If a better case demands that I downsize my PSU as well I don't mind. Thanks!
  23. Thanks for the recommendation either way! I hadn't looked at the 2400G at all.
  24. It worked okay when I was playing Death Road to Canada, but I ran into issues when attempting to play both Overcooked and any of the more recent TellTale games (specifically The Walking Dead: A New Frontier). Both games I turned down to the lowest possible and 720p but it was still pretty unplayable (hovering around 30 at best). I built the machine for dirt cheap a few years back so that didn't bother me much, but made me realize it was probably time to look at expanding its capabilities.
