  1. Many thanks but I did try that at first but I have found a way to fix my problem with the ssd not being recognised in windows for the first 5 minutes but this may not work for everyone with a similar issue but I still think its worth saying as it helped me after I tried everything else. On the gigabyte bios easymode main screen (different for others or older bios revisions) there is a toggle to turn "intel rapid storage tech" on or off and mine was obviously off as I hear it can only maybe benifit RAID setups etc but I thought I would try it anyway and switched it on and restarted. Lo and behold it has seemed to resolve my problem so for anyone else in a similar boat please try this, you never know. many thanks for all who replied.
  2. Hello, when I login to Windows my SSD drive (SanDisk Ultra 1TB) will sometimes not show up as accessible straight away and the whole system kind of gets stuck and when I try to open windows or folders nothing happens until the drive shows up. For example the drive is blank (as show in the picture) and I cannot open task manager, folders or any apps/programs until it shows up, then they all load up at the same time almost like it caused the whole system to lag. The drive is not new but has been used by me for about 6 months and has been absolutely fine until my most recent re-install of Windows but the whole system worked fine before (I re-installed for a refresh). I know this is sometimes seen in external hard drives like some I own as you have to account for power saving and spin up time but this is not external but a sata drive. I am very good with computers and always keep all my drivers and programs up to date and have done all the basic checks before asking like checked the cables and plugged it in different sata connectors on the motherboard, make sure it shows up properly in bios, my whole pc was recently re-installed (hence this new issue) so the drive has been formatted before use, checked it for errors, have installed the drivers I normally would but once it shows it works fine and loads games like normal so I am really stuck for answers. Another small note and possibly unrelated is Uplay does not auto-load on start up and can take ages to load if I open it sometimes, I have Ubisoft games installed on the drive in question and have re-installed Uplay multiple times with no change. 5. Hello I hope you can help me,I am trying to get WOL (Wake On Lan) to work using Unified Remote but cannot seem to get it working.I have tried turning on WOL in the bios, enableing it in device manager, making sure ErP is off so the PC can WOL, making sure MAC addresses are correct and the magic packet is being sent which it is and everything else I can think of, it used to work on my old MSI motherboard before I upgraded to this last week so I know its something to do with the new board, I have followed these guides as well:https://www.unifiedremote.com/tutorials/how-to-configure-wake-on-lan-on-windowshttps://www.gigabyte.com/Support/FAQ/376Am i missing something or is there anything else I can try because im all out of ideas? Many thanks and kind regardsChrisMotherboard: Z390 Aorus Master rev 1.0Bios: F10 (Newest)Windows 10 Pro 1903 (Build: 18362.476)i9-9900K (Stock)Hyper X 16GB DDR4 2400Samsung 960 Evo 250GB NVME M.2All latest drivers installed and up to date
  6. This was solved on another forum but for anyone having the same issue I was told to simply reset folder view settings in windows (google how to) and it totally worked, I am now able to change and keep columns and apply to sub-folders like before, I think the latest windows update borked something but all seems fine now, many thanks.
  7. Hello, i recently noticed that my customise folder options are not working anymore and i have to manually change the columns of each folder instead of applying the settings to the folders i want via the customise tab. For example instead of size, date modified etc i want to make folders for music but nothing changes when i apply via the customise tab so i have to go into the folder and manually select contributing artist, album, title etc Worse yet this also resets so in my music folder it defaults back to date modified, size etc when i want the columns for music, very annoying especially when you have loads of folders full of music Please check pictures for example: Windows 10 Pro Version: 1903 Build: 18362.239 PC: i7 6700k, M.2, 16GB Ram. GTX 1080 Many thanks
