  1. @streetguru The budget was for the PC only, excluding peripherals. I’ll look into 32” monitors, not much of a tech market where I live so I’ll probably have to buy it new. What does the ‘cache’ mean when talking about SSDs? I’ve heard people say that it is pretty big on the 660p, but have no idea of what they’re talking about. I already have a PS4 PRO so no controller needed for me. I’ll find a better keyboard, I’ll keep the mouse as I have used it and really like it.
  2. Changed it around a bit, thoughts on this? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/486m8M
  3. If you try and make a build, it gets about 2 parts that have prices.
  4. Should the stock cooler run well with an overclock?
  5. It's the only way I can get a rough idea of what it will cost.
  6. I'm from Ireland, but PCPP has zero stores listed on there.
  7. I have to order about 2 months before Christmas as Amazon shipping prices are really high, and it's cheaper to order from a local shop.
  8. Hi LTT community! I'm building a PC for Christmas and am a bit stuck on where to start. This PC will be used for 70% game dev and 30% gaming (Minecraft, some cinematic games at 4K 30fps). Looks don't matter to me, it will probably be under a desk. I would like good airflow, not it being quiet. 32gb of RAM is needed because I will have YT/Netflix/Spotify and up to 30 tabs in chrome open at once. No OS/peripherals needed. Thanks, Anoraked
  9. Yes. The SATA connectors won’t work but if you are using only an m.2 you’ll be fine
  10. I'm also using a 2600 for my build, so thats something good to know. I'll keep an eye out for that 3400mhz RAM. Thanks!
  11. Hello! I have a list picked out for my first rig and have chosen the Steel Legend as my mobo. I am a bit confused about what memory speeds it supports because on the website it says 3200mhz (overclocked). I'm confused as I am buying a 3200mhz kit and don't really know how to overclock it. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

  13. Laptop with: Celeron (integrated gpu) 4gb ddr3 1tb hdd THIS RUNS MINECRAFT ON LOW AT 15FPS and iMac i5-3470 @ 3.2GHZ 8gb ddr3 @1600mhz GTZ 675MX 1gb gpu 1tb hdd have sadly never experienced those fast times of an ssd building my first rig around Christmas so that's something to look forward to!
  14. Hello! I'm building a new PC and am looking to add a Elgato 4K 60 in, but from what I can see, the GPU mounted vertically will cover the PCIe slots. I know I can just change the orientation of the slots that hold the GPU in place to mount them vertically, but that would probably be my last resort. Could I squeeze the 4K 60 Pro in behind the GPU (for reference the Galax HOF RTX 2080ti). Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
  15. HI all! I'm building my new rig using a white theme and I have decided on the X72 cooler for my 3950x. The only problem is that the rad is black and I'd like it to be white. I have seen Techsource spray painting some radiators and wondering could I do it myself. Can I use any white spray paint or do I have to choose specific ones? Any recommendations are welcome! Thanks !
  16. I'll stick with Ryzen as I feel that they have better price to performance. The 3950x's extra 4 cores might be wasted on me because I'm not video editing. If you think that 4 cores is worth an extra $200-$250 dollars than I'll believe you but TBH I probably wouldn't use them
  17. I'm not really up to date with server CPUs so would I need to get a new motherboard or something?
  18. I know! I was working hard for a long time and have saved up
  19. Hello LTT community! I'm building my first rig soon and I am trying to decide on the parts. This build will mainly be used for gaming, streaming and programming (game development). I'm based in Ireland and I am aiming to keep the PC to around €3000-€4000 ($3275-$4350) excluding monitors and peripherals. I can go over budget but I'd like to keep it under. Aesthetics really matter to me as I am trying to keep a white theme going (getting custom wraps for the AIO tubing). TBH I don't really care about RGB. I will be running 2-3 4K at 120hz (maybe 1440p ultrawide at 200hz?) monitors (only playing on 1) at a time. No need for any keyboard/mice as I have already ordered them. From what I can see the GPU needs to be mounted vertically in the case. This could be a problem as I am planning to run a Elgato 4K 60 that uses PCIE and I am worried that it won't fit in. Finally, can I spray paint the AIO radiator white? If so, is there any brands someone could recommend to me? If anyone is wondering, I'm using the US site because it has almost no prices in Ireland, so with the US site I can get a rough estimate of what it will cost. Thanks! 21. Hello! I'm building myself a new white-themed rig and I am hoping to get custom cables from CableMod. I'm stuck at what cables to get and was hoping the LTT community could help. The build is here: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Anoraked/saved/#view=zbcL23. I've just put in the parts that I think will need the power, so that the list is not cluttered . All help is appreciated!
  22. Hello! I'm building a new rig and are trying to decide what GPU I will get. I've decided on a RTX 2080TI for the model, but am stuck deciding between the MSI Lightning Z (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-RTX-2080-Ti-LIGHTNING-Z) or the Asus Matrix Platinum (https://www.asus.com/uk/Graphics-Cards/ROG-MATRIX-RTX2080TI-P11G-GAMING/). The only difference I can see are that the Lightning Z has a OLED screen that displays temps etc. and the Matrix is water-cooled. I have no budget and the card will be paired with a 3900x and a Asus X570-Pro motherboard. Any help is appreciated!
  23. I'll have a 2TB Sabrent rocket for games and programs. Really just looking for fast startup. Appreciate your answer thought !
  24. Hey! The title says it all. I would like to know what the fastest m.2 ssd is. Budget is no problem. Using it as a boot drive, so 128gb is probably the ideal capacity. My mobo is the X570 Ace (https://ie.pcpartpicker.com/product/pGXYcf/msi-meg-x570-ace-atx-am4-motherboard-meg-x570-ace) so it can support gen 4 I think. Thanks.
  25. Don't know if this is what you are looking for but a quick search on Amazon found this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-Radeon-Strix-Gaming-graphics/dp/B07WDLQT7Y/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=asus+rog+strix+5700xt&qid=1568925288&sr=8-1 Hope this helps!
