  1. I guess all three. I know that I probably can't have it all but, in the time I posted this I have done a bit of research from some of the tips people gave me on here, and I think what I'm looking for is a low profile gaming keyboard. I've been looking into corsair's line up, and brown switches, although I'm having trouble deciding between linear switches and tactile because my MBP keyboard doesn't have the curve of tactile they are more linear as in flat. As for mice I was looking into the logitech G502 hero but the amazon reviews don't really make it seem like a good buy. Also having the same brand is something I want I just don't want to mess with multiple kinds of software, which leaves me in a predicament because the corsair mice aren't looking very appealing. I have big-ish hands, and I'm a palm grip (I think first timer here lol). I'm probably just overthinking everything, I just want to make right choice the first time so I don't regret my decision you know?
  2. Thank you so much for the tips. As far as the size of the switches I'm not really sure if I'm more of a low profile switch guy or a full size desktop guy. Although I'm thinking that I would be more of a low profile guy just from typing on my MBP for so long. I was just looking into the brown switches a little while ago. Is there a particular brand of keyboard you prefer? Corsair, Logitech, etc.? I've been looking at the K95 series from corsair, but I still really have no idea about what brand I would get... I remember back just ten years ago when you had like 3 choices at the store lol. Again thanks for the feedback!
  3. I have to be honest, trying to find the RIGHT keyboard for my purposes is kind of a nightmare, I'm only just getting started in PC gaming and PC's in general and there are so many brands of keyboards and different types and qualities of switches that my brain is just getting overloaded. Any tips would be highly appreciated, I know that I want/need a mechanical keyboard I've been using some logitech garbo $10 mesh keyboard and can barely type on it without making a mistake, I can't even imagine using it for gaming. I've been using a macbook pro from 2013 since literally 2013 and I love that keyboard, is there anything like that on the market that works great both for typing and gaming (I know gaming keyboards are like a marketing plea but I'm still a sucker for RGB). I have an MXL 990 mic it's a condenser and picks up like literally everything. Which is why I'm concerned about the loudness of the switches but I also want something that feels good (it's hard to quantify what that is because it's different for everyone I know). As far as price goes, I am comfortable spending up to $150 dollars. Also, if anyone has any gaming mouse or mice (My brain is fried I don't know anymore) recommendations or tips to look for when buying I'd love to see what you have to say. I've seen a bunch of videos and can't decide one way or the other, Also, I have enough wires in my setup to start my own electric company and I'm wondering if I can go wireless but still get the same quality and performance of a wired keyboard and mouse. I really appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks a million! Peace!!
  4. @Ru5h I've narrowed my choices down to two different 2080 Super cards... I have an ASUS motherboard, so the Strix OC 2080 Super card looks good and I'd have a single system of software, but on the other hand the MSI Trio 2080 looks a bit more put together overall... what do you think? Is mixing different branded components ok? I know you can do it with other components like RAM and stuff, but should I follow suit and just get the Strix card over the MSI? Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the reply... this is a total guess but do you think I should wait? The 2080 Ti has been out a while, not sure if a new model will be coming out or not. Maybe like a 2080 - TI Super or something? Also, do you think I should go for the Nvidia Founders card, the ASUS card or even another brand of card... with an aftermarket cooler... I know my stuff as far as other components go, but my Knowledge on GPU's is severely limited. -LOL
  6. I have the same Acer monitor except mine is a 27 inch, love that thing... a big problem that I had with getting my second monitor was how, while the other monitors that had better image quality, a big thing for me was the adjustability and accessibility. Make sure what every you get has a vesa mount on it, believe it or not, some of the LG 4k monitors or curved monitors in general do not have any screen adjustability or tilt so I'd be sure to check that out. As far as monitor recommendations go... I'm a big ASUS guy, the ROG monitors are pretty legit... this thing is nuts, https://amzn.to/34CAqY0, as is this monitor - https://amzn.to/35JBnOk - which is the cheapest 4k UHD monitor from ASUS... (not ROG) it's the one I have. I also recommend getting a desk clamp arm (gas powered) one for each of your monitors makes adjusting the screen so much easier. Hope this helps!
  7. Hello everyone and anyone, I'm in need of some technical help... with cyber monday quickly approaching I figured it was either now or never to get myself a solid GPU. I'm well aware that Nvidia's 2080-ti is the top choice for most, I have a pretty solid system but have no GPU, and I don't want to bottleneck anything. I have an i9-9900k on a ASUS XI CODE MOBO, with 64GB of 3200MHz Speed RAM, and a solid PSU, with ample cooling. I want to be able to game in 4k at top specs for most games, but I don't want to spend too much on a GPU, I really like the 2070 Super, and 2080 Super from Nvidia, (either from Nvidia or ASUS) for both price, and performance... if I were to get a 2080 ti though... I was looking at the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080-TI Overclocked 11G GDDR6, or just the Nvidia Model. What do y'all think? Also, as far as upgradeability goes... I can't seem to find much info on pairing 2 2080 Super cards together through SLI, or Nvidia Bridge... I've seen examples with the 2070 Super, but not the 2080 Super. My guess as to why that is, is that at that point your probably just better off getting a 2080 ti at that point right? My reasoning for considering the 2080 Super is that it's like 700-800 dollars, and later I could get another one for sli. Lastly... I just want to have a good experience for my viewers on twitch. Do y'all even think SLI does anything different? Or should I just bite the bullet and get a 2080 ti. I would really appreciate any and all opinions you have on my considerations for GPU's above. Thanks!
  8. TheThymo and others... I just wanted to say thanks for the help. I found out what it was... The Gamefirst V app on my pc allowed me to see the wifi channels, and change my wifi and ethernet from power saving "normal" mode to extreme mode and now my connection is the same as my other devices. Thanks, so much for the help! I'm so glad that these forums exist!
  9. Yeah I figured the pic wasn't super accurate. I got home and test the wifi speed on my iPhone and Macbook pro and the wifi was insanely fast right next to the PC like on top of it.
  10. Yeah, that's the one thing I have nailed down. Honestly though that would be hilarious. 20 x 8 = 160 Megabits over wifi and freaking 80 upload. LOL. I wish that's what it was.
  11. Thanks I'll definitely try those solutions, It's the same speed on both the wifi and ethernet right now... but I'll definitely try what you suggested. I'm only paying for 100 Megabit ethernet, but even still 20 Megabits you know? Really weird when I'm getting 194 download in the living room wirelessly on my 6 year old Macbook pro LOL.
  12. It's the ASUS ROG Maximus XI Code Motherboard, I'm not using a wifi card it's the integrated wifi.
  13. Hello! I need help fixing my PC wifi/ethernet internet for some reason my gaming PC is only getting 20 Megabits per second download or even less than that... (upload has kind of been all over the place) this is on wifi or on a CAT 7 ethernet cable (I have tried other cables and cable types still not boosting anything). My 2013 Macbook pro on wifi is getting well over 100-150 Megabits per second, and on an ethernet cable it's getting around 200 megabits per second. I only recently upgraded from spectrums gateway (modem/router/switch) unit to an Arris DOCSIS 3.0, 32x8 Modem, and Netgears xr500 NIGHTHAWK PRO Router. To avoid an ethernet cable mess I put both of the units in my bedroom. They are up above my TV on a rack, My room is 10 feet by 12 feet (square shape), and to be fair… I do have quite a few things behind the TV. Cords, A massive surge protector, wires, an El Gato HD 60S capture card, and an Xbox One, and the networking cables and what not. The modem and router are like 5 feet away from my pc, and I still am getting a horrible connection. Everywhere else in the house the internet is solid for my parents MacBooks and Phones getting at the lowest point like 40 megabits, but that’s in their bedroom behind like 5 walls at the far end of the condo. I have looked around online for solutions but after 3 days I need some help. Just for reference, my gaming pc is brand new, I built it myself, i9, 64GB RAM, and an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Code Motherboard with the wifi adapter on the top of my PC, the gaming pc is onto of a standing desk (yes I stand and game). Is there somewhere I can control the wifi antenna, maybe its in a power saving mode or something? All my drivers have been updated recently (recently as in yesterday). If you could reply ASAP I would really appreciate it, I only have 7 days left to return the modem and router to best buy if I can’t figure this out! Thanks!!
  14. Thanks for the reply, after looking at it from a different perspective I'm thinking I could use my mixer, but as far as output is concerned shout I just get a 1/4 inch Left and Right to 3.5mm jack and plug that into my controller. I'm thinking.. Movo --> mixer via 3.5mm or instrument 1/4 stereo jack --> Back of Mixer usb into PC --> xbox one controller with mic and headphone splitter --> headphones plugged into headphones on y splitter --> and mic plugged into mixer with a L and R 1/4 inch jack to trs. What do you think? Ultimately this whole process will require me to just experiment, but narrowing down the process helps a whole lot. If this doesn't work then I'm going to look into getting some kind of usb sound card or mix amp that has a stream 3.5mm line out or multiple 3.5mm mic in and out ports. Worst case scenario I just get a headest and have to mics, or just spend $400 on a goxlr. LOL my wallet is crying in my pocket right now. LOL
  15. -Sorry in Advance: I know this is long, I just want you to be aware of the situation. Hey there! I have been working out an audio solution for about the past few months, and I thought I could figure it out on my own but I need help! I have pretty decent resources, I have a Lexicon Lambda Audio-interface with phantom power, and I have 2 xlr mics (4xlr cords) an MXL 990 and 991, I also have a movo vxr10 - 3.5mm mic. For headphones I have some buds as my glasses get in the way of most headphones. I also have a mic and headphone splitter and plenty of 3.5 try and trrs extensions 3.5mm cables. As for my pc… power is not an issue, I have the asus xi code motherboard, which has plenty of features (that I have no idea how to use) and an i9 9900k processor, with no graphics card (yet). My current gaming set up is as follows. PC is on desk hooked into a single monitor. Mixer is also on desk, I have a stool which is about 6 feet away from my tcl 55 inch tv. My xbox one is standing upright between the tv, and desk (standing desk). And everything is connected via ethernet cables. -Sorry I know this is long, I just want you to be aware of the situation. I only want to have a single mic for both xbox one, party/game chat. I would rather it be the vxr10 as cables are currently overtaking my setup. The reason why I don't want to use the xlr mics is since they are more sensitive they pick up more white noise, and background noise. Also the mixer and the 2 mics are fairly old. The vxr10 has a better quality, and is a 3.5mm mic so I don’t have to have a heaping mixer with cords everywhere. I realize that I could just get a gaming headset and use the 3.5mm mic for my stream, but I can’t afford to spend anymore, until I start streaming and find if its worth it. The movo mic is easy to connect to the pc, I just need a way to move the mic signal from the pc to my controller to use it as a chat mic. I want to do this without using the xbox one app for windows 10, but if there is a way to do it there I’ll give it my best shot too. Do I need like a virtual sound card output or something? By the way the movo mic is a trs connection. Please let me know thanks!
  16. I was going to get an h200i the only place for mounting is in the front.
  17. I was told that a 280 wouldn't fit, but luckily amazon has a great return policy. Thanks for the input!
  18. I'm building a mini itx build and I have a i9-9900k, h200i, corsair 750w PSU, intel 2 terabyte 660p, asus rog z390-i motherboard, 3200mhz 32GB Corsair RGB ram, and I don't know if an NZXT x52 would be able to handle the i9. I will be using the pc for gaming/streaming/productivity, and probably won't overclock it too high. I need opinions/answers ASAP! Please help... I can't work until I build it. LOL great motivation right! Thanks!
  19. So I just built a PC, and for a few days now... every time I've been pressing the power button on the case the computer springs to life for a second and then turns off. Sometimes I have to hit the power button again, and other times it just comes on. Can someone please tell me what might be going wrong? I spent a lot of time, and money on this thing and want it to be perfect. Thanks!
