  1. This was a shortlisted motherboard I had which is verifying my decision, thanks for the recommendation. Does this have good amount of headers?
  2. Hello, I am currently going through the process of upgrading my system after getting a RTX 3060 (former 1070ti) and decided to go from intel to AMD. (Unless suggestions are within same price range) TLDR; Looking for a compatible motherboard that will suffice with Corsair ICUE 4000X RGB & AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. Budget is £150 GBP. My current specs; CPU: intel i7 7700k GPU: Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060 MOBO: ASUS Prime Z270-A The motherboard must have the following; - Must support enough headers to suffice with 3x SP120 fan & 1x Corsair LL120 RGB 120mm (integrated iCUE Lighting Node CORE) & 1x Corsair H100i - 2x M.2 slots - 2x SATA connectors. - I/O 5+ USB - 2x DDR4 RAM slots.
  3. I look absolutely silly, so it is going at 2400MHz -.-' Ignore this post ever happened, sorry Linus for wasting data.
  4. Hey, I have a new build and I am trying to get my RAM to 2400MHz, at the moment it is saying it is only going at 1200MHz (according to Speccy) is there any way I can put it to it's full potential. I have flicked the switch on the mobo to XMP and I have enabled XMP via BIOS but it's still not going at the speed. Currently using ASUS Z270-A with Corsair Vengence LPX Pro DDR4 8GB (x4) 2400MHz Thanks in advance.
  5. Hey bud, I come back bearing good news. My i7-7700K arrived today (it actually is an i7-7700K this time) and I have got everything hooked up and it is working like a dream, the speed different compared to my old system is night and day. Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your patience again, you're an absolute hero! Check your messages - could have a little reward for you. Thanks <3
  6. Hey mate, we're nearly at the finishing line! I decided to go for the i7-7700K, bit more expensive but seems a bit better and it's compatible. In regards to Amazon, they were being a bit difficult at the start until I linked them with the resellers recent reviews where other people have fell victim to it, I don't think it's customer doing the old swap-a-roo more like the company are shady, either way they are getting investigated thoroughly and I am getting a refund once my parcel has been collected. In regards to the motherboard, I had to get that replaced as when I took it to get that pesky hair (I need to be way more careful, I seem to shed like a cat) it looked like one of the pins had just snapped off when i released the CPU clip but that is being replaced and another will be delivered tomorrow (or Saturday alongside with my GPU) and then hopefully, fingers crossed, touch wood and a pray to God, I can be uo and running. I appreciate all of the help buddy, you've been a patient saint and an asset to the LTT forum!
  7. Oh god no, I hope not. Upon looking at Google, it seems that the CPUs do not match whatsoevere, the writing on the CPU is a little faded, either by the thermal paste from my CPU cooler or by wear and tear (previous owners) but it is difficult to read. This is the item information (seller is provided there) looks like they sold and fulfilled the item, I would like to get the 6700K however the seller is known for putting old CPUs inside newer CPU packaging (reviews) If this is the case, this explains all of the issues I am having with the boot. Do you recommend any other CPU that is compatible with the Z270-A
  8. Hey, I have attached a photo of the CPU (back) to see if you can find anything wrong with it. I am going to be asking for a replacement FROM Amazon to the board. Thanks
  9. That is a great eye, could a strand of hair really make an impact so hugely? I will remove the hair or whatever it is. Do you think I should change my RAM to this as I have 2400MHz and would be purchasing 3000MHz or would this RAM not affect it as both are compatible?
  10. I believe that is for the CPU installation, from what I seen the CPU on the back looked fine, if a photo is required let me know. I used the 8 black screws without metal washers to hold the mobo in place, I did not get any stand offs included in the box. Thanks
  11. Hey bud, I tried to use one stick at a time using a different DIM slot each time and still no POST, this motherboard is brand new with every other item on this system. I have tried to reseat the CPU and I did check but could not find any faulty pins at all please review the images provided The CPU doesnt get hot at all (not sure if this is because it's not posting. When testing if USB works, it does. The lights on my headset turn on (is this promising)? I did strip the mobo down and tried to do a process of elimination, I had all necessary cables plugged in (24 pin, 8 pin and I even tried different inputs such as DP, Hdmi and DVI) and still nothing. I checked to see if the PSU was faulty by using the jumper, changed cables and even added a SSD just incase. I did realise that I installed the Mobo without stand off pins but I believe the Corsair Obsidian 750D already has stand offs as the motherboard or case didn't come with any stand off screws. I am genuinely lost for words for what I can do now.
  12. Hey, No power cycle the fans just spin as if the PC was working I left it on for five minutes waiting for any loop to happen but no joy, monitor jusy has amber standby light at all times, I have checked all four sticks of RAM in each slot and that still did not solve the issue All cables are placed properly often hesting an audible click when I slot them in. I have changed my monitor to a 4k one that accepts DP to DP and DP to DVI, I am currently testing with the DVI slot and still the same situation Please refer to the screenshot for the box barcode, thanks.
  13. Hey Rascal, thanks for the in depth reply. So currently, i turn it on via the PSU and have the HDMI connected to the IGFX as I only have a 750ti spare, the aura lights come on (RGB backlight) and a green LED at the top right of the MB shows then I push tbe power button and the fans spin and my monitor just shows No Signal, the monitor does work as I use it every day. My RAM is ths Corsair Vengence DDR4 2400MHz which is compatible with the MB.
  14. It supports EZ Flash 3 however you have to be able to get an actual signal to be able to do it if I am understanding it correctly, do you think if I flash it via USB it could solve the No Signal problem. It is a bit of a risk as if it is unsuccessful I could brick the MB
  15. I dont believe my MB allows me to do this, is there anything else I could do? The RGB backlight shows aswell as a green LED, I'm not sure if this is a sign that my mobo and PSU is fine, I hope so as these are new parts.
