  1. Where you get that number from?? 980 draw roughly 165w x2 cards thats 330w ,r9 3900x another 145w, so far under 500w. Rest of the system not huge amount so imo 750 will be enough
  2. I was going to suggest rtx 2060 for $320 but not sure about cad
  3. So for what you want to use the system mainly?
  4. Only problem with this is that Ryzen is very picky with ram, there is no guarantee it’ll work.
  5. It’ll not damage your mobo, if its not supported it’ll simply not gonna boot , so don’t worry about that. As of buying another mobo , well this platform is outdated and I wouldn’t invest any more money into that, better if you save some money and go Ryzen
  6. Well without psu we can’t see if you connected everything properly
  7. Well that’s definitely one of the options, other much simpler would be to secure it properly when they shipping prebuild systems
  8. But did you check your temps? Just kidding, ok lets think what that may be. Check task manager if there is any processes running in background, they may cause this type of issues. Open msi afterburner, it have nice graph what’s going on with the system, once this type of issue occurs check it straight away to see behaviour of gpu and cpu, if there is any dips in utilisation or maybe something hits cpu really hard when that happens. I had similar problem with my previous system, it was windows security something something which was hitting cpu every few minutes quite hard.
  9. Is your windows up to date? If not try that first. Otherwise I would reinstall windows
  10. What? Since when... ? Ok it’s far from being best psu but still it should be enough to at least keep system up. You sure you connected everything properly? Specially cooler , maybe it’s overheating and switching itself off

  12. Is your budget $700 ?? This build is not bad but if you want I an try something else for similar price
  13. You could probably scan internet for someone who already done it (I’m more than sure that someone was trying it before) but because you ordered it already just wait till you get it and than test it yourself. If its work than great , if not just return it
  14. That have nothing to do with the cpu compatibility. Mostly is the manufacturer of prebuild who may limit which cpu you can install in the system.
  15. What gpu and rest of the system you have? Also are you only gaming on this rig or any professional work as well ??
  16. Your link is not working correctly, it’s only sending us to pcpartpicker but not your build, fix it please
  17. Damn this pcie slot is ripped out from mobo quite badly. Only way to fix it is to replace mobo. But you said it’s a prebuild, did you bought it new? If yes than rma it straight away.
  18. Are you talking about this (pics) if yes than you should be fine if actual pins are not damaged, it looks like just a bit of pcb is scratch, not sure how that may happen btw
  19. Try DDU all drivers (even if you probably don’t have any) is safe mode, than it may be that windows is not up to date (it sometimes causes the problems) and you have to download all updates first, than get GeForce Experience and it’ll download and install all drivers for you. Try this first if you didn’t before
  20. It all depends what gpu you want to use it with it. I’ve been using this type of adapters before with lower end cards and it worked alright. I’m not saying I recommend that kind of solution by the way.
  21. That’s why there is always two molex used not just one.
  22. For that kond of budget it’ll be hard to find any tbh, most sfx psu are quite expensive. You can get the molex to 8 pin adapter
