  1. Well oc cpu on laptop is not really good idea, the cooling is not really adequate to heat output when oc. That’s why most laptopa don’t even let you oc. Anyway if you want to revers it just clear cmos
  2. You’ll be fine. I’ve done something similar few years ago and card was running alright for a year in my pc (untill I’ve sold the card to get new one)
  3. I’m definitely not a expert but this looks like oxidation maybe ?? If they stored the card in dump conditions it may happen.
  4. It may be the case that you set up constant voltage to the card instead of just drawing how much it need (of course on idle it’ll need very little)
  5. That may be actually the windows power setup, you can try to change it
  6. They are making black ones https://noctua.at/en/nh-d15-chromax-black
  7. Well you have other options as well PHANTEKS PH-TC14PE WHITE if I remember correctly this is quite decent cooler. Or just go AIO like @birdflyermentioned
  8. They are standard 120mm fans so yes you can replace them but is it not better to get cooler with better fans instead of buying this cooler and fans separately? For that price you could get something really decent and no hassle with swapping fans
  9. Like @rickeosaid above more details, exact model no of this psu would help a lot.
  10. If you could smell the burning and had some smoke coming out of your pc that means something burned, I would take it apart and closely inspect all components, burned capacitors etc, of the pc is not turning on even with new psu that means problem is somewhere else
  11. If you have pcb and the heatsink than you can always ghetto your cooling by strapping some normal case fans to it, I’ve done it before and it’s working really well. Did you connect all cables properly to the gpu? You didn’t knocked any other cables or cooler for cpu? Try resetting the bios to default first
  12. If they are same modules than yes you can buy 2 of them
  13. I’ve found one in Germany if you willing to order from abroad (not sure where you from) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EVGA-SR-2-Motherboard-X58-LGA1366-Dual-Socket-/353685301810?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=707-127634-2357-0 There’s also one in UK https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EVGA-Classified-SR-2-LGA-1366-Motherboard-x5690-mushkin-48gb-RAM-/274783755047?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  14. Reset the bios to the default settings, if he played with undervolting in bios this should help. You can reset the UEFI settings (clear CMOS) by one of the following methods: 1. Go to the Exit tab in the UEFI and select Load Optimized Defaults. 2. Press the Clear CMOS button on your motherboard (if it has one). 3. Unplug the computer and remove the coin cell battery on the motherboard for a few minutes and then reinsert it.
  15. Usually they use same cooler for few cards (from same manufacturer of course) so you may be lucky, best what you can do is to find some coolers and later on compare the pcb of this cards, if they same than the cooler should fit as well. So you missing heatsink as well yes? You have just the pcb?
  16. If you have integrated graphics ( not sure what cpu u have) you can always try to run it through igpu and DDU all drivers in safe mode, than try to reconnect the gpu. Did you connect all power cables properly? Is the card sitting good in the pcie slot? Try to resist it
  17. What cpu you have in that Dell machine? It may be the case that it’s not even worth to get 1650 if cpu is weak, it may bottleneck the card anyway. And also other question is what about psu? Is it strong enough to handle decent card?
  18. Pcie 3 are backward compatible so you shouldn’t have a issue over there, I would look for problem somewhere else. What’s your mobo manufacturer and model number? This beep codes may give you some clue what’s the issue but in order to find it out we need to know what mobo you have.
  19. That’s not always a case, I’ve had few cards which switch off fans on idle , yes they running a bit hotter comparing to cards which have fans always on but the main key in here is good airflow in the case, if the card have decent amount of fresh air even without fans spinning it should still be alright.
  20. I would try and DDU all drivers and install them from scratch, maybe this will help.
