Just tried with the AIO on a seperate SATA cable chain and still nothing. Had to power cycle a few times to get it to start again with it disconnected after a few cycles with the new chain.. Could it be the PSU itself? Im not pulling over 700w for sure but I guess i could get a 1KW unit.

I have one or two other devices on the same strip so that may be the culprit..

yes, if I unplug the AIO I have to power cycle one or two more times normally but it’ll start then. If I don’t, it just doesn’t go anywhere ever after 5-10 cycles. I’ll try putting it on it’s own cable and see if it does that. I’ll have to add one more strip and will come back with an answer.

If I do it without disconnecting AIO, it will act as if it’s turned on, everything comes on including fans and lights. monitor doesn’t display anything other than it sensing it’s receiving a signal but then it goes to “no signal”. when I unplug AIO I just disconnect it from the power supply SATA port. The long cable that has a bunch of SATA connections from PSU. i have the fans plugged into both the motherboard and a fan hub. I have 9 total fans.

bump... anyone? I've now had this problem for a month or two. Have to disconnect AIO for a solid 2 sometimes 3 power cycles to get it to POST and show windows.

Hello, Basically every time I turn on my PC I have to force shut it down by holding down the power button, disconnect my AIO, start it again, shut it down again and restart it again. Then it'll finally POST and boot into login screen. This started happening right after I installed my AIO, the H100i from Corsair. Now if I want to boot up I have to disconnect it, power the PC on with it unplugged and it'll boot up. If I do all this without disconnecting it, it will just not reach POST. I highly doubt its my PSU but I haven't left that possibility out. I have checked on all my hardware power draw and it doesn't draw over 675W at overclock. Specs: CPU: R9 3900x GPU: RTX EVGA 2080Ti XC Ultra PSU: Corsair RM850x MOBO: ASUS Prime - P X570 RAM: 4x8GB G-Skill Trident Z Royal 3600MHz AIO: Corsair H100i 9x Case Fans. Bump... Haven't received any solid info other than, the R5 2600 has EDC locked from someone on reddit. Hasn't happened to me before and I think I'd notice a red / yellow EDC TDC number. Gonna update BIOS on my next free day and likely do a fresh Windows install.

Hi, Hoping someone here could be of some help in regards to some issues I had immediately following a GPU upgrade from an MSI 1660Ti to an EVGA 2080Ti XC Ultra. I believe this could be something simple I'm missing but I can't figure anything out. ** Original post with picture from Reddit - r/AMDHelp post with picture ** Specs: MOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: EVGA RTX 2080Ti XC Ultra PSU: Corsair RM850X (850W) RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb x2 SSD: Samsung 970 evo plus M.2 500GB HDD: WD 1TB 7200RPM CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 evo OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit MSI MOBO BIOS Version: 1.30 - 11/8/2018 Let me start out saying, I didn't know I had to run 2 seperate cables for the PCIe port on the GPU. Once I did that, there was a noticeable difference but issues kept up and still nothing's been fixed. PC works fine in regards to opening, closing and using programs but does not perform well. When issues started, I pressed the power button on my PC, everything would light up, fans spin, but after a few seconds of no image displayed it would shut off, wait a few seconds and turn back on, few more seconds turned off, then back on. If i was lucky it would only do this twice. Symptoms: -Low FPS 110FPS CoD MW 1080p(I Had 130-140 on my 1660Ti) -Unstable FPS (hitting 280-300FPS on other games then dropping to 120FPS within 5-7 seconds) - If i boot up without going into BIOS 8 times out of 10 it'll boot fine, if i go into bios, even if I don't change anything, once I exit it will shut down after a few seconds and restart by itself a few seconds afterwards and loop this maybe 3-4 times. - AMD Ryzen Master says my EDC is at 119% and TDC at 80-90%, reset CMOS, it'll go to 99%. I'll put power settings on balanced and it'll fix itself and drop my cores to 3.2ghz. This never happened before. What I've tried: - Reset CMOS 3 times - Disabling Precision boost OD in BIOS - Changing to Windows Balanced and AMD balanced power settings, lowering minimum idle state (I don't remember exact name) for CPU to 5%. Image on Reddit shows results after all that. - Disconnected everything from PSU except for CPU and MOBO and it booted fine so I assume the startup issue and everything else is GPU related. - I overclocked the GPU and it ran fine up until now so I returned it to default settings and still nothing. - Drivers are definitely up to date, I could delete old and install new but I read if you go NVIDIA to NVIDIA GPU, deleting old isn't necessary. I believe a fresh Windows install may fix it or a BIOS update but wanted to see what I can do before that. Thank you everyone

Seems as the HUB was my issue all along.. thanks for the help!

I’m gonna keep updating the issue as I go along so others who may experience the same can see what I went through. Update #2: the issue came up again after putting my PSU back into the case and plugging all wires back in. I have a USB hub on the rear of the MOBO and it seems to interfere with something and once I disconnected it, after 3-4x of back to back no image on monitor after boot-up, it worked. I have restarted the PC several times now after taking the USB hub out (it seems since I had my mouse and 2 USBs for keyboard in it, it overloaded it every time. ) and had no issues. CPU light on MOBO lights up as it always has, then turns off, VGA comes up after once again, but then it turns off and windows login appears. so far so good, if anything else comes up I will update again.

Update: switched out the cables connected to the GPU and I haven’t had an issue starting up yet. I think this might be because I’ve ran a couple of test runs powering up the PC and shutting it down. But as of swapping the cable out, no issue. I will update later or tomorrow if the issue is solved and mark this thread solved as well. I appreciate the help!

I took some pictures. I moved my GPU connection on PSU itself and still the same issue. The next pic is the connection to the GPU itself showing the cable. I switched from on connection to the other thinking it would make a difference but it didn’t. My PSU didn’t come with a single 6+2 without an additional 6+2 on it. and yes, my mobo has an 8pin CPU connection also in picture. Connected to where it says 4+4 CPU.

I think this might be the issue. And yes the PSU is fully modular, I might have it in the wrong slot. I will get back to you around 7pm EST today when I can check my PSU. Thanks!

I took some pictures. And the cable you sent is the one I use. The 6 pin has one but the 2 doesn’t. The 6 pin clicks but the 2 has no lip to tighten it but it seems to fit well. Could it be it’s in the wrong slot on the PSU itself? By the way, I appreciate your help very much. Thank you for sticking to helping me solve the issue!

Quick update, I just powered it up again and the VGA light is on. I searched this up and people have said it has something to do with connections? I am pretty sure all my connections are properly in place I don't understand what else to check. What can I do? No third party cables either.

Correct, no image comes up at all. The second (sometimes third) time I power it up it goes straight through from boot menu to windows login. And no, it was doing this since day 1. There is never any beeps or flashes. My motherboard does have lights on the side but I don't recall it flashing, it just stays on, I'd have to check. But it sounds like the only possibility now is connections. I do remember having issues connecting the GPU power from PSU to GPU. Since it was a weird 6+2 pins that go into the GPU. the 6 click in but the 2 don't really click they just fit in snug. This was the main thing i checked but I'll go over all connections again.

No I do not. I think I understand what you're saying. However, it never reaches the BIOS screen or a boot menu. The screens just entirely off but I assume you mean as in the GPU is stuck in that state? I'll go over my connections again but I constantly make sure everythings plugged in right. I just don't understand why it won't work the first power up but the next one everything is fine. On your last comment, I haven't set anything myself in relation to a quickboot option or UEFI, I haven't touched anything of the sort. And I don't know if its UEFI or not.

Hi everyone, I am new here and joined with hopes to find a solution to an issue I have had since I built my PC. I've had my PC Built for about 3 months. I have done my fair share of research on a like issue but it seems nothing works and I might be missing something simple. So I hit my power button on my computer tower and everything turns on as normal. Lights, fans everything turns on. My monitors are asleep (look turned off but on standby) waiting for a signal from GPU. They are both connected directly to GPU one with DP one with HDMI. The monitors turn on (to black but turn on fully waiting to display image) but there's no windows login image they just detect the GPU sending a signal I assume but display "No Signal". So what I have to do is, press the power button again and it powers off with one quick push (normally it won't power off with that you have to long press it). I then have to press it again after it turns off and then everything starts perfectly. I should mention this happened before overclocking anything and I have been running stock up until a week ago. I am so confused how to fix this, here is what i have tried and no fix yet. I have disconnected the GPU from slot 2 and placed in slot 1(where it should've been), I dust cleaned everything, I have unplugged the GPU power and plugged power back in, I have updated BIOS, GPU drivers are up date, Windows is up to date.
