Confused about Arduino (microcontroller) terms
SomeLinuxPerson replied to minibois's topic in Hobby Electronics
Here is is a really good video on the topic :). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sww1mek5rHU (in-case the link doesn't work) Arduino Uno to ATmega328 - Shrinking your Arduino Projects by DroneBotWorkshop Also it has a lot of extra info so here is a link to the approximate time stamp to what you were asking about the boot loader. (honestly the whole video is good for learning the UNOs architecture). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sww1mek5rHU&t=914s (15mins, 14seconds into the video) It does not cover how to load the boot loader onto a bare chip, you can also by a bare chip with the boot loader pre installed, and that's what many people do, but here is how to flash a boot loader from the Arduino website. (you will need supplies to do this) https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ArduinoToBreadboard -

Use Monitor to power AND hub Pi-Zero W?
SomeLinuxPerson replied to Video Beagle's topic in Hobby Electronics
I haven't tried this, but I have a few similar dell monitors, but it most likely will work. -
Laptops often dont display anything on HDMI until windows has loaded. There might be a BIOS setting to change the capture card to primary display thus displaying to it by default.

Weird 3ds issue anyone heard of this?
SomeLinuxPerson replied to SomeLinuxPerson's topic in Console Gaming
Funny thing in the passed week it stopped doing it? Honestly I probaly should get a newer 3ds model and transfer my saves (some games use the internal storage for saves especially my several hundred hour terraria save) -
What do you use your raspberry pi’s for?
SomeLinuxPerson replied to Bilman66's topic in Hobby Electronics
One runs open VPN (To get through my schools content filtering, they filter out Reddit and this forum so thus why I need it) the other is hooked up to my TV as a chromecast / emulation box. -
Ok so there isn't any fans inside the radiator to answer your question. If you have not mounted your own fan to the radiator that is most likely your problem. Though don't quote me I don't run a water cooled system, but I have done my research on this stuff. (I just don't have the funds to put one together).

Basically I have a original 3DS I still play to this day and I have a weird problem where about 1/20 times I hit the home or start button (probaly less common than that), it just suddenly hard shuts down not like I pressed the power button, I don't think I am accidentally hitting both start and power because it still happens occasionally when i'm very careful. It isn't that big of a deal cause I can pause by shutting the screen if I don't want to risk it. But anyone else heard of this and know a way to fix it?

Holy shit I didn't even realize there anywhere near 9 million, I remember I started watching in 2013 to 2014 when they had like a million I think? idk anything passed 700,000 ish my brain thinks of it as 1 million. I was around 9 or 10 when I discovered there videos, honestly I grew up watching the LAN show and the old office. So I think this is amazing. Idk why i'm ranting about this but really y'all got me into the custom PC space. Thank you.

WHO recognises Gaming Addiction officially as a Mental Health Problem.
SomeLinuxPerson replied to Furiku's topic in Tech News
By this definition of addiction, literally anything can be considered a addiction. Honestly they should recategorize it under something like "Media Addiction" because all of those problems can be caused by any form of media, including video games.
