  1. Hi Everyone, looking for a little help with selecting a motherboard. First off I am based in the UK and the difference between all 3 boards is about £5 spread. I will be installing a Ryzen 5 2600x. I looked at the specs, reviews etc and can't really split them The options I have whittled it down to are: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming MSI X470 Gaming Plus MSI B450 Tomahawk Many thanks for any help
  2. thank you for the link really helpful, looks like I'll save the money on a 1060 and get a bigger SSD
  3. Hi guys looking for a little advice, need a laptop for editing video and photos on the go, mainly use after effects, premier pro, photoshop, etc and am wondering will there be any benefit for me getting the GTX 1070 over the 1060 in terms of rendering speeds, timeline scrubbing, etc? Many thanks James
  4. sure, as soon as it gets here I will take some photos and post them up, it does come with an OS installed.
  5. Not sure yet, it was one of those it looks awesome, how much, take my money moments. Hope to have it at the unit this week where I will be able to get into it. As it ran a quite large national bank's UK network I am guessing it will be well equipped.
  6. 78cm wide, 1.57m deep and 1.94m high (2'6 x 5'2 x 6'4) so not small.
  7. Something a bit different. I have found an IBM z890 mainframe that came out of a bank when it was taken over by a bigger bank which then integrated with its own system. It weighs 750kg and the new bank was just going to scrap it so it was a bargain. The question is what to do with it. First thing is it looks cool as hell so even if it just sat in the corner of the unit it would be cool but it is working and I love to tinker especially with something I don’t know much about. One thing they said it could do was run LINIX and be used as a web server but what else could a system like this do? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
  8. Looking for a little advise. Picked up 3 Asus VE27h monitors. Running 2 through DVI and one with HDMI to display port. All works well apart from some screen tearing. But the major problem is the colour difference between the screen 2 are pretty close but one is very far out. At first I thought it could be corrected but then I noticed the back-lights are different warmth on all three screen and no amount of playing with settings can correct it. I though it might be the cables or setup but tried swapping the cables over with each other and no joy. The monitors still don't match and the warmth say the same to each monitor. I can not deal with the colour difference so they are going back and I am back to square one. My budget is around the 145-160 mark but don't mind spending a few $/£ more to get the right one as I simply can not deal the colour differences. Thinking a screen with a display port would be best to stop the screen tearing. I have 4 display ports on my graphics card which is a ASUS HD7970-P-3GD5. Any advice much appreciated.
