You mind sharing the manufacturer/Model of that Air rifle? I would like to check it out. 

Haven't been shooting in a while but got the reloading bench fired back up and starting making 9mm again.  Fun to turn out a bunch of fresh new rounds, the 30cal ammo can holds just over 1K rounds.  I'll have it full by this weekend, didn't quite get it there the other night. 

Picked up this GSG MP5 clone in .22lr for $260 out the door, and this .22 shorts pistol for $50 out the door today - my buddy and his kid came with me and talked me into getting the GSG, he is very excited to come shoot it with me tomorrow.

Figured this fits here better even though it might be seen as bad form to some gun enthusiasts.  I had/have a C96 Mauser pistol, it's got a very bad barrel, cracked bolt face and a missing firing pin.  Wasn't cost effective to restore to a safe shooting state so I did the next best thing.  DL-44 blaster.  There are a couple small touchup items that need done yet to try and color match the new parts to a worn out roughly 110 year old pistol but it is looking good so far.

My first gun I ever bought and my favourite.  I went all out and paid a little over $5k CAD for it.

After almost two years, it's finally done*, well, there are a couple things I want to tweek, and I may change the optic setup but it's usable now.

I just finished it up last night, so I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I'm very happy with how it came out. I robbed the optic from my 16" rifle that's very similar (almost identical, really) so I'm going to start looking for a Vortex Razor 1-10 for the 16" gun. Then I might, maybe, buy another Razor 1-10 or the Razor 1-6 for this rifle. Maybe, I'm not sure yet.
 
I did keep an Excel sheet on this build, and the rifle itself, without the suppressor or other add-ons, came to just over $2400. 
 

Hi friends.  

I bought a Ruger Max 9.  Early indications are that it'll be my CC gun for a long time comin'.   (sight is a Sig Romeo Zero.  Why?  Because that's what the gun store had)
 
I also discovered that a rather large holster manufacturer lives in my town -- Bullseye Holsters -- and they'll make one for you right then and there if you show up at their factory.  So that's the fastest I've ever gotten a custom kydex holster for a gun!

Got a message from my FFL yesterday afternoon that my stamp came back for the Rugged Razor! Sadly I wasn't able to get over there yesterday, but I'll pick it up this afternoon. I'm very excited!

After 7-1/2 months, my 12" LaRue barrel is finally here!
 

 
I mocked it up with a Midwest Industries barrel nut that I had laying around to get a good measurement for the handguard length. Once the handguard is in, it'll finally be a functional rifle! Please disregard the slightly over the top 3 chamber comp, it's a mount for the suppressor that I'm also expecting to arrive soon, well as soon as one can expect the federal government to approve a form 4 anyway, this rifle will likely never be shot unsuppressed.

Picked up an American Tactical single shot backpacking 12ga with the intent to blow it up.
 
Picked up 10 rounds of 50bmg ($50 even)I will cycle through it.  If by the 9th round it doesnt blow up, Im jamming mud down the barrel and catching the chaos in slow mo.  Yes I will be doing this "safely" - 50 foot lead, hiding behind 2 steel plates walls 😉 
 
I intentionally picked up the cheapest 12ga I could ($163 after taxes).  I want to see if it will hold up to a single 50bmg being fired in it.  Ill post some pics tomorrow before I head out to the farm 🙂  Then post some pics after I finish 🙂 Will be catching all of this in slow mo on the GoPro Hero 9 black.  
 
Reason Im going to destroy the gun no matter what is because the integrity of the weapon will be compromised regardless once 1 50 cal bmg round is ran through it.
 
Yes it will fit, yes the firing pin will impact the primer.  Whether the gun holds up - lets find out 🙂

I suggest looking into PCC's or Pistol Caliber Carbines. 9mm ammo isn't very affordable right now but since you want both personal/home defense and smaller than AR these would be my suggestion to look into.

I really thought it would start getting better right around this time, but I just learned its only getting worse. I know at least one ammo producer just completely ran out of their primer stockpile and had to start limiting employee's OT because there aren't enough coming in to keep them as busy as they'd like. About a month ago it was going to to take until May 2022 to catch up to the current backorders at the current production, which is now less... this might be a several year long ammo drought.
 
I never wanted to be one of those guys who hordes hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammo, but I'm sure regretting it right now... Took a few months, but I finally got ahold of two boxes of .270, so hopefully I've got enough for an upcoming hog hunt.
 
In other news, was at my parents to grab some 6.5CM and found a box of 500 Nitro Express in the safe. I've never seen it in person before and pictures really don't do it justice, that is a .223 next to it.

Very well written! This is the type of comment that get the point across. I encourage everyone to make well thought out comments and urge others to do so as well. When they tried to ban m855 ball ammo one of the major factor that stopped the effort was over 80k comments on a proposal similar to this.
 
Some guidelines on posting:
 
Do not use fake information. Fake names and other info automatically kick the comments from consideration.
Don't use foul language. Posts with F this and F that will get kicked out and just serve to cast a bad light onto the firearms community
No copy and paste. Using the same comments over and over will get them kicked as spam.
 
It is well worth the effort to take the 5 minutes or so to comment if those comments are thoughtful and not full of conjecture, conspiracy and foul language.
