  1. I have a Western digital sn850 1tb placed in my first m.2 slot on my MSI x570 meg unify board. My cpu is a ryzen 7 5800x and I have a 2080ti. There also is a Samsung gen 3 nvme placed in the second m.2 slot. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Surely this gen 4 nvme should just show up as gen normally. I have no idea if there is a problem with available PCIe lanes etc, really am a noobie. I see no option in bios where I can configure m.2 lanes etc. Please help. I do realise there is no real benefit for the better gen 4 speeds especially for someone who uses the pc for gaming like me, But I want the speeds I paid for!
  2. Currently I run a rig with a 2080ti with an i5 9600k. Have pretty crappy msi motherboard and case. Basically whole budget was spent on gpu. Was wondering as I now have more cash if the upgrade to the latest Amd Ryzen or i9 with new mother board, cooling etc Would be a good idea. I’ve always had the thought of a bottleneck constantly niggling at my rig.
  3. This laptop seems like a good deal yet I have never heard of the brand and or seen a review of the device.
  4. When downloading games from steam, uplay, blizzard I get around 7mb downn. Yet when installing a game from the microsoft store I will always get around 32- 42 mb down. Any possible reasoning behind this ?
  5. Hey thank you for all your help man. I have a resident computer builder friend who has told me the psu is fine thats why I got it. I will have to send back now. Whats the actual reason its crap? Thanks again.
  6. Sorry I meant my gpu. I would be looking to drive it as hard as possible 1440p ultra etc. Would the motherboard be a Hindrance.
  7. Since I'm a noob would you have any idea if my motherboard is crappy. Would it be a throttle in anyway to my cpu. Thanks
  8. So I have went completely nuts when it has come to building my first gaming pc. It is stupidly expensive and I believe I have bought bad parts in terms of cooling or utilising my GPUs to its full potential. Any advice on which parts I should switch to fully utilise my GPU. I don't mind the slight bottleneck with my cpu and GPU its mostly the motherboard I'm afraid of.
