  1. Greeting to everyone on the LTT forum. First of apologies if im dropping this here in general, the mods can move it to the apropriate section. So, i need a opinion for a build (2nd i'll do in my life) for a family member (my mom X3) i'm planing to do. The this is this, her old prebuild is gonna kick the can ina few days ,and i got bit by the build'em bug so ima planing to do a rig with a budget of 1100euros, im not asking for the price stuff, just the parts i picked to build. Soo, parts list: -PHANTEKS Enthoo Evolv ITX Mini-ITX, TG case (space constrictions) -ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming-ITX/ac Mobo -AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with stock cooler -HX PREDATOR RGB DDR4 16GB, 2933Mhz -SAPPHIRE Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 OC 8GB GDDR5 Those would be the base components. PSU is the Phanteks 850w one, since i get a nice deal at my local part's store with the above case 180 euros for both, seperate theyr 140 for the psu and 80 for the chassis. I wanted to know if that is a good combo of bits, or is there a mobo better suited for the CPU/GPU combo, or any opinion/advice concerning the part's pick. The rig aint gonna do nothing extreem, just her daly use + my ocasional when visiting a game or two, i know it's prolly overkill but i just wanna give her a good rig. Any advice and suggestions/opinions are more than welcome, and thanx for you'r time to see/help with it.........on a sidenote i have 7 days to order the bits :3
  2. Hello forumities, i hope you'r all having a wonderfull day, i'm new to this forum but i did read a litle on it before. So, i am looking for information to the thickness of the thermal pads on the Gigabyte Aorus 1080ti (non extreme). I will have to take it apart to change a wobbling seezing up fan (i can post a vid on it if you wish, its the first fan over the die part of the heatsink) and since i have not yet taken apart a GPU let alone one this size i want to have as mutch info before i dig into it. I was planing to change the thermal pads on it while im doing the serveice since i think it wont hurt to do that, for the die paste i'll use Arctic Silver mx-4 (2019 edition) and the pads also Arctic pads but i would like to know the thickness of the pads needed so i can order them in advance and that i dont have to order all thicknesses just to have the exess gather dust and waste. The card is still in waranty if you'r wondering but the time it would take for me to get the card back to my country (slovenia) i would take well over 2+months from what i was told and i have to pay the shipping (too mutch), but i found the correct 95mm fan on sale on AliExpress for 15$ +3$ shipping (15-20days) so i'd just do the repair myself. And if that wouldnt work i was planning to just slap 2 120mm fans on the heatsink and plug them into a mobo fan header and call it a day, but first i'll try to keep it in original config fan wise. Thanx for taking your time and for any help.
