Just an update even tho no one cares,

The sub works perfectly with my Lepy 2020A and my Klipsch 14-m speakers and the sound is amazing. I'm gonna upgrade the amp and get a good DAC in the future but for now I am pleased.

I've had this ATX case forever and am upgrading the build inside soon.

Anyone know what model case it is??

    Thanks in advance.

Having thought about it further I would recommend against an eGPU for your setup. Your laptop has a 1060, the card you put in the eGPU loses 20%~ performance on average so you would need to get a 1080 or equivalent for the performance uplift to be noticeable. But then you’re limited by TB3 which is only 4x PCI-E 3.0 and I feel like it would just bottleneck a high end GPU. An eGPU is more suited to a laptop with no dedicated graphics.

Not only is performance 20% worse, it comes in the form of stuttering and hitching.  So the overall experience is worse even if FPS is higher.

Build a desktop for high res/detail gaming, use your laptop for taking with you so you can do things away from the house.  A 1060 laptop can play pretty much any game with lower settings and is great if you want to blow off some steam on break/lunch at work or between classes at college.

I would recommend going with a egpu because you can get a lot better gpu if you save on all of the system hardware you would have to buy for a new pc.
