  1. weight: needs to be portable. So not much heavier than the Razer Blade 15, Dell XPS 15. no idea what they weigh though. Battery life: need something that lasts about 6-7 hours
  2. Hey, so I’m looking to buy a laptop for work. I'm currently using a surface 3 and a desktop but I want to condense it down to a plug and play type solution with one good laptop. I’m a JavaScript game developer and I spend a fair bit of time coding on trains and going to meetings, having to show tech demos to clients etc. I have a few requirements which are: Portable. I travel 3 hours a day I don’t want to be breaking my back Able to run 2 external monitors. Coding on anything else is poverty I’m not willing to experience. Powerful enough for reasonable gaming. I’m thinking 1060/1070 Max-Q type of power maybe? I’ve completely lost track of graphics cards since the 900 series. Look professional enough. Nothing that screams gamer at anyone looking at it. I’m not really fussed about 144hz, 4k or extras like that 1080 60hz is fine with me. Storage size isn’t really an issue either, I’m barely using 60gb with everything I need. I’ve looked at the Razer Blade 15 – 60hz 1080p display and the Dell XPS 15 My budget is no more than £1700. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, just as a random question is it possible to turn off the laptop screen and just use the two external monitors?
  3. 1. Budget & Location My budget for this build is £1150. I cant really go over this by much so keeping it at this price would be preferable. For the location I live in the UK. 2. Aim The aim for this build is to have a PC that can run games on high settings. The games I play are things like BF4, Shadow of Mordor and a few MMO’s. I will also be doing some 3D modelling in the future so having something that can do this would be nice. Also I would like the PC to be as quiet. The system will also need a wireless adapter. I would also want to be able to overclock the CPU and GPU. For the case I was thinking about using the Define r4 3. Monitors I am planning to run two monitors eventually, but to start with there will only be one. The resolution for the monitor I have now is 27”, 1920 x 1080, 60 GHz. The other monitor will be the same as this. 4. Peripherals I will only need a keyboard to be included in this price. As for the Operating system i have a copy of Windows 8 5. Why are you upgrading? I am upgrading as I've been using a laptop for a few years now, and now that I can afford to build a PC I thought it would be something cool to do. This is my first build so any help you guys can give me will be extremely appreciated.
  4. All I can say is thank you for lending good advice and helping me build my first computer.
  5. My favourite thing about the phone is that it has the IPS panel and also the front facing speakers, and my favourite thing about dbrand is that i could send them my pebble and make it look amazing.
  6. 1. Budget & Location My budget for this build is £750, I can’t really go above this amount but if I do need to spend a little extra I will. For the location I live in the UK. 2. Aim The aim for this build is to have a pc that can run games on high settings. The games I play are things like BF4, Thief, Far Cry 3 and a few MMO’s. Also I would like the pc to be as quiet as possible. The system will also need a wireless adapter. I would also want to be able to overclock the CPU and GPU. For the case I was thinking about using the NZXT H440, although I’m not sure if this case would have enough air flow. So if there are better cases, with a similar sort of design, that will make the system quieter please let me know. 3.
